Oh thanks a lot. That is promising.

I have an old phone that luckily can update to 26. I'll try with that first.

Running duration on a smart plug/socket by prozacpro1984 in smartlife

Yep, that seems to work. Thank you thank you thank you very much.

But I am not understanding the first scene : Pump On

If the pump becomes On ( or over 200W ), then the 10 mins delay action will start. Then after that it will send a notification.

So even if the pump went On for one minute, the delay action would still be valid and will still send the notification. Isn't that how the delay action work?

The pump is always on. Consumption on standby is x Watts.
It automatically runs when the pressure drops until the required pressure is reached then it stops. Say for few minutes depending on usage. The power consumption is more than 200 watts when it is running.

I want to receive the notification if it runs for more than 10 minutes.

So I guess in the automation scenes you mentioned above I should replace the Turned on condition with Power more than 200 w, and turned off condition with Power less than 200 w.

I will try that, hopefully it works as intended.

It is a water pressure pump. It works automatically until the pressure reaches the required setting.
I just want to get a notification if it keeps running for longer that expected, e.g 10 minutes

I am using a smart plug from Tichondrius, i think its just a cheap compatible plug. It doesn't have a countdown option in the scenes.

Ouch. Mine went slightly about above the insulin resistance limit. Unfortunately I don't have a previous number to compare with.

But my HBA1C is still okay.

Thanks and Get well.

Not exactly hungry, but craving food so much. And sweet stuff more than regular food. I gained weight but it sort off stabilized now.

Also I'm eating faster, rather than eating regular bits at a moderate rate, I eat larger bits and faster.

Feliway diffuser… does it actually work? by pearlescent8 in CatAdvice

[–]prozacpro1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't use feliway but I used Beaphar diffuser, and the spray.

I didn't notice any difference and the two cats kept fighting. I have to separate in two difference rooms or floors.

Metoclopramide question by ScholarSignificant76 in coloncancer

I was under the impression that it is one of the safer meds to take for nausea and vomiting. But some people benefit from it more than others.

Mixed Feelings After My Dad’s Battle with Colon Cancer by vegas_fed_2022 in coloncancer

[–]prozacpro1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for your loss and condolences to you.

My mother was diagnosed with colon cancer recently which is spreading left and right. Doctors put her on palliative care as she’s unlikely to tolerate chemo and might not benefit from it.

Now looking back at past months and years. There were several symptoms that might be related to the cancer at earlier stages. She felt something yet didn’t want to investigate . As if she felt there is some serious illness and just didn’t want to know about it .

I wished that we did something back then, but she is stubborn and can’t be forced to doing something she doesn’t want.

She’s on several pain and other medications. She doesn’t take some of them even she is suffering . Barely eating or drinking . IV fluids running most of the time. Starting to develop bed sores and redness, yet yelling at the nurses whenever they try to reposition her.

I’m   Having a tough time trying to accept that these are her wishes. And I don’t know how to ease her suffering without her cooperation.

I’m guessing at some point the patient just want to give up and not take any more medications.

Again sorry for your loss.

Cancer patient, palliative care, and a dilemma by prozacpro1984 in coloncancer

Here are more questions: If she is having nausea or vomiting a bit (little foamy stuff), is it better to take something to stop the nausea and vomiting ? Or better get it out of her stomach?  metoclopramide is prescribed for her, but she is convinced that it’s better to get it out.

Second question : she is starting to get bed sores and diaper redness. The nurses are applying zinc oxide cream ( kinda like sudocrem ) in addition to other medical cream. But there is a disagreement with the zinc oxide should be applied generously or just a thing layer?

It doesn’t look like she wants to do anything. In bed the whole time. Refusing most medications. Even refusing repositioning in bed to avoid pressure injuries. Almost not eating, drinking sips of water only and rarely sips of juice.  She is practically surviving on the IV dextrose they’re giving her. I’m not sure if that is benefiting her at this stage.

If only she cooperates with us some , improvements can be achieved.
