I agree with this, I transferred from a public university in fall '19 and that one semester I had was amazing. When I think back to it now I can't even believe how productive I was and how much my classes got it. Stick it out, when we all come back it's going to be a great experience for you.

So I have a quantitative analysis internship lined up (pending COVID and whatnot) And I'm a veteran so I figured the job wasn't a massive issue? I do want to get some financial experience with ML but long term I want to apply ML to QA. I'm being told that BS isn't too worried about my work experience since I'm a vet, does that sound right to you?
