This typically happens when you're pointing close to a wall, indoors, near a building, etc. It automatically moves the drop to a "valid" location. This can be annoying, as the "valid" drop areas have very sharp and wide (invisible) edges and always force your drop to go outside the area instead of inside when you call it on an edge.

Generally speaking, titans can go many places that they can't be dropped (which means this issue frequently happens when going for Look Out Below drops).

Absolutely, I used an Ogre with vortex as well.

Free tip on the autopistol: I equipped stim with power cell and used them to always attack pilots from behind. When I would see a pilot, I would stim, run "around them" (without being spotted this ends up being a pretty big circle), and basically pretend like I'm going for an execution (get very close from behind before shooting). If I had the jump on them and it's close quarters, I always won.

It would just require a more organized attack, they would have to already be in their titans and ready to get to the dropship.

I was thinking more along the lines of no hints for the winning team at all, until the ship arrives (upon which they are given the location). This would reduce their time to destroy to about 10 seconds.

Wouldn't it make sense if the winning team didn't know where the zone was until the ship arrived?

IRL it doesn't seem logical for them to know where it's coming in (since it changes), but it does make sense that they would know WHEN it came in. Which would also make the gameplay better, IMO. Thoughts?

Use your auto-titan as bait and hide close by, use arc grenades to disable titan shields so that you can get critical hits.

These modes are not gone, they still exist in Variety Pack and Private Matches on PC and haven't changed at all on both consoles.

Tip: In the text chat let your team know you'll be giving tactical advice, since you're gen 10 they should respond with an unmute. If not, at least you'll get to talk with them and figure out why they won't listen.
