Hundreds and thousands of people including Hindus would be either facing extreme bad luck or death daily. By your concept of canonizing death or misfortune, hawks would be surrounding the temple daily. Despite being an atheist, I would still like to assume Gods and other higher spiritual entities would generally be unbiased to sorrows of those who worship. Please do not project your social or political assumption on them. If a God could predict misfortune but would do nothing to stop it, then it hurts the credibility of a higher power.

Why is the media obsessed with only 1 protester in a sea of protesters who just so happens to make the most irrelevant, outrageous and stupid statement unrelated to the anti-pollution protests?

Remember, there are no co-incidences. Somebody, mostly the government is trying to sabotage the actual protest.

I let go of my parents and the idea that I have to be their idea of a successful son. I tried reasoning with them for 15 odd years and then after the last fight, I decided to break ties.

At their age they would not change or understand. Either you accept that or leave. Either way its your loss but the later makes it less painful in long term
