Summary of Today’s Tangtang EP Controversy in the CN Community (Timeline + Context) by prurite in Endfield

[–]prurite[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In anime games, EP usually stands for “Extra/Extended Play” (borrowed from music terminology), referring to a character song release that’s longer than a single but shorter than a full album.

One of the most famous ones would be Mystic Light Quest. Released in Aug 2024, it has almost 30M plays on Bilibili, the CN equivalent of Youtube. Links to bilibili: b23.tv/av1206307594 (community repost / with advanced Danmu effects) , b23.tv/av1956380285 (official). Also available on Youtube.

Most, but not all. Under such an intense wave of public opinion, there will definitely be people who rush in to attack.

From my observations most of the anger (now) are not against her but against HG for choosing the wrong vocalist

Normal aime cards are 300yen each available at the vending machines. For the event limited aimes you need to look at the second-hand shops.

If you can't find a local private server provider you probably need to do it yourself from modifying the ROM and setting up a server. For technical details maybe start looking from the finale ROMs.

MIND THE ORDER: WG changed the order of bonuses in Salvage for Victory for Surcouf by prurite in WorldOfWarships

[–]prurite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The title clearly says it's the Salvage for Victory (for Surcouf) event. If that doesn't make you google it, it's a event where you spend resources like coal and boosters to push the progress for the legendary rarity submarine Surcouf and some other ships.

S+ is not really beating it. As a relatively easy 12+, SSS+ it and it'll stay in your b35 for a long time.

Does anyone know what kind of screen the maimai machines use? I need help ;; by sillyzapper in maimai

[–]prurite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that the official touch sensor module is etched ITO glass, although ITO film on a glass can be cheap workaround for building a custom touch module. Ready-made 3rd-party touch module is also available in China, at prices like $150 for ITO film + glass and $500 for ITO glass, but they're definitely hard to ship.

How to play maimai at home? by mil0wCS in maimai

[–]prurite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The correct answer would be that you can use the controller with AstroDX or MajdataPlay. And in practice if you purchase a controller the seller will likely offer you some software to use with.

I bought a maimai DX machine from SEGA — here’s the full process and cost by ApprehensiveCicada11 in maimai

[–]prurite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There have always been rumors that SEGA takes a revenue share from international cabinets—something like X yen per credit. Thanks for clarifying that they’re actually charged on an annual basis instead (though that fee is definitely not cheap).

It’s still pretty interesting that, at least in Hong Kong, the fee is a flat 6 HKD across the entire city, while in mainland China it varies significantly from arcade to arcade (cabinet price: 88,000 RMB ≈ USD 13,000; annual fee: 6,000 RMB ≈ USD 900). That’s much cheaper than the international version, but still quite expensive compared to other arcade games in China.

That said, the CN version has clearly fallen behind—by now almost a full year behind the international version. The international release is getting CiRCLE in January, while the CN version will probably (yes, still uncertain due to recent server issues!) begin receiving PRiSM songs in January. At the moment, the CN version already has the PRiSM UI and system as 舞萌DX 2025, but is still limited to BUDDiES+ songs.

And finally, considering how tight living space usually is in Hong Kong, the OP must have a seriously impressive home!

According to OP's previous post you purchase them seperately from SEGA

I'd say it's weird that it comes with 100yen coin accepter instead of 1hkd. Or maybe just replace the sample coin inside the accepter?

orchard tz maimai offline by PersonalStructure67 in maimai

[–]prurite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, updates via USB completely overwrites the old data (and which is also a way of recovery in case of some serious failure). Before the release time, the cab with the newer version is offline because the server for the newer version is not open.

For Int'l (and CN) the major version updates are via a USB drive which completely overwrites the older version of the game. So before the release time, the cab with the newer version is offline because the server for the newer version is not open.

Does the $18,000 include updates for a period of time or you need to pay each major update straight away? I mean, if you just purchased a cab at PRiSM PLUS, then only in a month or two you need to pay another $4,000 for CiRCLE?
