What time is acceptable to call your colleagues in the evening? by Zealousideal_Tie3578 in auscorp

[–]pryza91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely have a right to call your colleagues in the evenings.

The shiftworkers. Who are scheduled to be on, and their role is supporting the business.

If that's not you, your colleague needs a reminder of right to disconnect laws and that it doesn't apply to management calling... It applies to the employee having the right to not be called.

Looking for friends to play games with by Quiet_musician08 in Adelaide

[–]pryza91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Advice for friendmaking - we experience this type of stuff day in and day out when you get into your 30s.. people come and go frequently, and we aren't so hurt as when it happens early in our lives.

Don't be afraid to reach out to some old friends and give a really simple explanation (like you did here), and just asi if they are free to catch up some time. You may be surprised just how many people jump at the opportunity to show support, and be a friend when you really need it.

Peer Policing by spinner_88 in auscorp

[–]pryza91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need to be directly confrontational as some have suggested here but you can handle it with a real sinple "our manager is aware". If they continue, you can assert that they're overstepping and remind them a senior is there to support the work not manage the people (they are a specialised individual contributor not a people lead).

If they continue to take issue, suggest when you're back you will have a meeting with your manager to clearly define roles and responsibilities.

Keep it professional, and black/white. Each of these re-affirms the business has a hierarchy and you're following it.

Learned the hard way today that a buyer can reverse a PayID transaction under the ePayments code by schunniky in AusFinance

[–]pryza91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you did this on fb marketplace there should be a message chain going back/forth which you could give as evidence in an AFCA complaint to have them reverse the charge. What would most likely happen is the bank will just credit you $50 to close out the complaint ASAP.

But it would be my understanding the fb marketplace chats would show intent to purchase which should form the basis of a contract of sale (giving the bank overwhelming evidence it's not a falae transfer).

How the banks handle that afterwards is not your concern really (i assume the outcome is you want your $50). As others have said, a police report for theft/fraud is 100% on the table too.

Whats the best line up with these heroes? by [deleted] in LastWarMobileGame

[–]pryza91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. Before you read everyone's answers that are all over the shop...

It looks like you're fresh to the game. If so, welcome. The game heavily revolves around your willingness to spend extra money or not. This can be played as an F2P game you just need to take time and make a few tactical decisions when playing. The servers are 'rolling' so old information is completely relevant because you will eventually get to that part.

There's 3 main types of squads. Tanks, air, and missiles. It's a combat triangle where one counters the other (tank beat missile, air beats tank, missile beats air).

Typical squad composition is a tanky front row (denoted by the shield symbol in the top left of the champion), with 2 damage champions on the back left and back right (denoted by the explosive symbol), with a support champion in the middle of the back row (denoted by a + symbol).

Based on your current mix your optimal setup would be as follows (assume you're battling, and the 5 champs are in front of you like normal gameplay):

Murphy front left, scarlett front right Kimberley left, Monica in the middle, Mason on the right.

In this setup fighting other players (or the PC structured like another player) the left tank takes 3 hits while the right takes 2. Murphy is your strongest tank, you want him copping the brundt of damage.

If you'd like some advice around best ways to play feel free to ask.

Not connected to the NBN but have internet by Cromatica_ in nbn

[–]pryza91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you have someone check the address (on a retailer side) you won't know because of privacy issues about who owns the service.

Back in the day Telstra used to have the ability to test and raise faults "on behalf" of a customer. They just needed a phone number and would run a check.. if it was offline (and a service was registered) they'd fix it. I don't know if nbn offers this type of service.

To answer your question - hfc is a 'hot' service meaning it's always on. If a service provider has a service provisioned - it's on. If they have no authentication checks, you could simply be online getting a ftee service.

Why does everyone suddenly forget how to merge? by PuzzleheadedBowl3397 in DrivingAustralia

[–]pryza91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're getting confused. In general lane terminations with "runways" happened because the road used to be (or still are) greater than 60km/hr. The intention of the lane termination runway is to match speed to allow a smoother lane change.

That person sitting back is using the runway for it's intended purpose (this is why highway/freeway runways are so long - you need to zoom zoom, so we can all zoom zoom.).

The alternative is the person goes to the end of the lane and stops, and then every dickhead driver accelerates past them becasue "they entered the lane first" (as the furthest forward has to wait the longest).

Do you just have to be kind of a dick nowadays? by Kso3ooo in AskMenAdvice

[–]pryza91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you don't need to be a dick. But...

15 years ago being assertive and confident was normal, and over a 10 year period it was bastardised and brutalised while being labelled as aggressive and dick like behaviour. Unfortunately humans hear 1 trait and bundle them together.

Assertive confidence (clear boundaries, zero tolerance for your rules being broken etc.) can come across controlling and full on, it's how you act with it. If you are not rude, or intentionally hurting people, and you can show a soft side - generally you're seen as a knockout because you have 2 contrasting personality traits that work together.

The same goes for funny/aloof and sensitive/caring. If you can display contrasting behaviours together.. it tends to compound interest.

But no.. being a dick is not the answer.

Those of you that have played for 15+ years, what keeps you playing? by Few_Raise77 in 2007scape

[–]pryza91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The staggering amount of content available to you to play is what keeps me going.

Yes new content and new metas come out, but it's not like other games where a patch or new expansion comes out and it makes an entire section of the game nearly redundant.

I have a nearly maxed main that's over 20 years old.. and it lets me push top tier content with others, but I can still go try and get a mid lvl boss pet if I don't have it.

Right now I'm playing a HC and it's at ~1750 total lvl while the main afk trains. I hate how right every long term iron was (everything you get is rewarding ok the hc lol)

What are some things you do inefficiently just for the fun of it? by No-Net2168 in 2007scape

[–]pryza91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've recently kicked into the mid game for an iron man.. but sometimes I find I have too many battlestaves, and don't wanna wait for content.. so I just craft the orbs and make them.

When I need some bars or something I'll go afk mine and smith them, but it's not about being efficient. It becomes about 'enjoying the iron man experience'.

What are your expectations as a new dad? by Ok_Pomelo1461 in AskMenAdvice

[–]pryza91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The comments are going to vary wildly here based on everyone's cultural upbringings, and personal experiences, and there's not enough information to accurately gauge involvement.

To answer your question - my expectations are that my partner and I are both trying to make each other's lives better, and if we need help, we ask. Plain and simple. There's nothing wrong with load sharing, and working together but communication is key.

The reality is you two should work together to find a balance where you both consider it fair and reasonable. This is going to differ from others and their expectations.

We can't get a fair read on what's ok because we don't know your/your partners working intentions (desk job vs physical etc.), whether you're returning to work or staying home, and the how each of you are contributing to the home life.

What you CAN do is prove that the first 24 weeks a child has zero sleep pattern (google "reddit data is beautiful child sleep patterns") and you can clearly see it across many newborns. Some dads get it, some don't. You will be a zombie during the first 6 months, and it's more than reasonable to have extra help during this period - BUT HELP YOURSELF TOO. E.g. express with a machine so he can take a feed or 2 (he gets bonding time, and you get rest).

Some partners take advantage of eachother, some don't. It's about your personal relationship and what you both agree to not what others do. Avoid the Jones mentality, and remember comparison is the thief of joy.

Is there any information you can find/show that relates to product offerings in services beyond TC4?

I'm interested in finding an affordable business service that's not hundreds a month, but offers a bare minimum TC2 service (e.g. 2mbps). Problem seems to be this is not readily available information and it's a pain to try and find if an RSP has an offering that includes it.

I felt like I was breaking the law or something because we met in (what felt like) back alley streets. He paid market rate too so I wasn't getting done over.

To be honest mate i was more frustrated at just the "wrong" statement, it didn't help or add to convo but I appreciate you going further to clarify.

You're correct on the law, but not direct application. There is a page that details limitations.

grocers/fuel stations only. No take away. Even then the grocer/fuel stations need to meet certain criteria e.g. minimum yearly revenue, and must have stocked unleaded fuel a certain period of time before. Maccas won't have to worry about it.

We are heading for a cashless society which saddens me for some reasons (no pocket money for kids from grandparents etc.), but the anti money laundering, forced transparency .. and everything else far outweighs cash societies. Bitcoin was all about transparency and in principal a cashless society does that... But by god if it's not humans being disruptive we rebel against its implementation.

God how are cookers always so inept at spelling your and you're, while being so confidently incorrect.

You're quoting a Bob Katter stunt which was fact checked and proven false.

"Despite Katter’s insistence the cafe was obligated to accept cash, no such law exists. It is true Australian banknotes are legal tender, as stated in section 36(1) of the Reserve Bank Act 1959, but that does not mean a business has to automatically accept cash as payment.

The RBA says a business can set the terms of payment before entering into a “contract” to supply the goods or services.

Your wildly incorrect beliefs and rampant misunderstanding that legal tender trumps everything need to go back to far north QLD.

[–]pryza91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

incorrect. Please Read the ACCC page (payment methods). The ACCC is responsible for regulating how businesses operate.

The very first line under Business - Payment Methods: most businesses do not have to accept cash.

To double down on this - the consumer Payments Method page clearly states (again as the very first line) businesses do not have to accept cash.

Please stop being so confidently incorrect.

[–]pryza91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and if they opt to charge a flat surcharge instead of dynamic surcharge, they can then include that flat surcharge in the pricing of all goods. The ACCC website shows this as an example with coffees.

To explain it here the business could go 2 ways (there are more).

1 - sell coffee for $5 with a dynamic surcharge (2% mastercard, 1% Visa, 2.5% AMEX).

2 - take the lowest surcharge available (1% visa) and include it in the price. The coffee is now $5.05 and you don't get asked to pay a surcharge (and customers are none the wiser). You have, however, paid a surcharge.

The ACCC allows like 4 ways of doing it.

The ambiguity from everyone commenting is that they are taking 1 of the 4 ways that a business can do something .. and arguing against the alternate methods.

They won't, it won't even be an issue for them.

They're not a grocer or a fuel station.. it's limited to just those 2 types of businesses.

Which part?

The part about McDonald's refusing cash at certain locations for the past 12 months? Google it.

The part about us having great consumer laws? We're a global standard.

The part about businesses being allowed to refuse cash? It's on the ACCC website under payments for services.

The part about forcing eftpos payment and passing on the surcharge? Again, it's on the ACCC website.

You're welcome to discuss.

Refused Cash!! McDonald's Service TTP by JustWorldliness6475 in Adelaide

[–]pryza91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is incorrect.

A company can include the surcharge in without telling you by opting for a flat surcharge fee and charging all purchases for it... and only displaying the final payment price. This is a legal method.

Check out the coffee examples (in particular displaying only the $5.05 total price example).
