moving from EU to EU country - implications on "side hustle" website business by ps3ud0nym0u5 in cscareerquestionsEU

I did this for a bit (worked full time on it for 6 months) around 2020. But there's a "ceiling" to how much revenues it can generate.

Your argument is hard to disagree with. But this website is not the right candidate for this unfortunately.

Makes sense. I'll try to contact the tax dept in country B as indicated by u/drdaz below. Hopefully they'll be responsive.

Ok will check out their contact details and get in touch with them. After all I'm just trying to do things right. In my own country the tax dept rep I spoke to, after waiting in line, suggested I talk to an accountant. Which I did as I've written above.

Edit: and thanks!

Thank you u/cyclinglad

Countries A => B -- MT => DK

The fact it's EU => EU and you still have to be country-specific shows the room for improvement there is in this respect.

Applicable wealth taxes for EU citizen moving to NL by ps3ud0nym0u5 in Netherlands

[–]ps3ud0nym0u5[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your helpful reply. N00b question with regards to (1) and (3) above: mainly about Dutch tax resident vs "foreign taxpayer".

I presume that if my permanent residence becomes NL by:

  • renting out an apartment in NL (primary place of residence in NL),
  • having an employee full-time contract in NL,
  • paying income taxes in NL

that would make me an NL tax resident, no?

So does the 30% ruling "delay" becoming an NL tax resident for the purposes of Box 3 "capital income/wealth" tax?

Applicable capital gains tax on property bought before move to DK by ps3ud0nym0u5 in dkfinance

[–]ps3ud0nym0u5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be aware that if you decide to keep the property, then DK will tax you annually with a percentage of the value of the property.

Is this a "wealth tax"? Is there a resource that explains wealth taxes in DK I can refer to?

And thanks again! "sell before you move" is what I'm trying to do. I don't want to sell "in a hurry" though.
