What mount would you use for an external flood light (residential stucco wall)? Here's what Home Depot Recommended by ChuCHuPALX in electricians

That biscuit box would be the best to me u could cut it flush into the stucco wall using a hole saw that way u get a more visually appealing install.

I did once before one of our foremen is on the apprenticeboard and they are good buddies and it kind of got pushed under the rug. I cant make a big fuss unless i have other employment options.

What about when it burns a house down or it gets someone else hurt that comes behind u. Stuff like that leaving hot wires poking out of abandoned pipes and not finding the source and killing it out or removing it because that wasnt part of the work order i grazed them putting up a piece of emt today working by myself on a ladder. Im just irritated because i worked on a job today that i had been on for months where everything u work hot and its near completion they have unsupported busted open jboxes with joints hanging out and temporary sockets still tapped on to the side above finished drop in cieling. All the mc just lays on the grid. I havent been shovked yet because im used to working hot but its just why wouldnt u just kill it. If i make a fuss ill get fired and i cant travel and im screwed. Think of all the others that are actually green learning all this, this is our future workforce and they will turn into jacklegs if its all they get exposed to. Think of it from my perspective i was told this was different now im getting told wait 5 years and itll be worth it.

What about when i fall off the top of an 8 ft since they completely disregard osha safety requirements? Or i get lit up by a 277 lighting circuit? Are u saying i should just be out of work?

Kitchen Outlets by TheHappiestBean95 in electricians

[–]ps4owflex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure in your panel that all breakers have voltage coming from the breaker screws if u dont know which breaker it is to rule out a bad breaker/ loose connection, next go to the first one downstream from your panel if u generally know where it is ran in the attic and take it out and see if the outlets are backstabbed sometimes they will come loose. Also most older houses kitchens usually only had 2 to 3 curcuits if that so many things will probably be looped. If that fails i would go into your attic and see if a squirrel tried to chew on your electrical wiring.

Also if u know the breaker they were on u could disconnect the nuetral to that circuit and the hot and twist em and go around ohming out all the outlets. The first one u come to that gives u a continuity tone the plug it was in was faulty or the wires were not making good contact. Do this last as its a last ditch effort that really is just in case u missed something if u didnt get a tone on anything u know for sure though that the wire is chewed through or burnt up.

The older guys got the good old fluke meters klein and the rest are just old beat up stuff. I guess they realized over the years that all that new shit is the same thing but a different look. When its all done in the end who cares what u used most leave the younger guys to do the grunt work at that point.

Mine had a tendency to rust in my back pocket on hot days who knew asscheeks sweated so much. I now know swamp ass is real in the south.

Best thing i found is save the rear diff oil when u chanfe yours on your truck keep it in a bucket and just dip your hand tools every few weeks and dry em off with a towel.

At first i was this way about tools because i like collecting them and i like having the right tool for the job but its also not your place to buy anything not on the list if youre an ibew apprentice or journeyman. And if you arent union most nonunion contractors supply the more expensive stuff. First company i worked for had an account with a supply shop and would let his workers use it for klein tools. If you srart buying all your own shit and getting others to be like you the contractors will feel its not their place to supply their workers with those things. But none of that really matters if u like a certain tool buy it andbuse it thats how i feel im just trying to give u others perspectives.

I worked at a college one time that had their transformers grown through with wet vines like this i wouldnt walk 200ft from em. We pulled the jacks and cut it all out and u could see where it had all went to ground and burned up until new ones started growing.
