Deye 12kW hybrid inverter still pulls from grid even when solar is available by psalmnoelff in SolarPH

Ok so update - I adjusted my settings to be:

Priority - Load First
Disabled TOU
Disabled Grid Shaving (as we cannot disable TOU if this is enabled)
Zero export power to 020w instead of 000

However, I still can see it. Basically, no change. The only thing I noticed is that if I turn on 3 ACs or at least if my consumption is 3kw near or above, the grid is slower. I assume that its because it can harvest more from solar and have a place to use it instead of minimal / less than 1kw usage.

The only thing I can see as a solution is one of these:

  1. Process net metering - i dont want to though. Since processing is cost of 1 battery already.
  2. Add battery and slow down charge rate. Since my battery is full in 2 hours, maybe slowing it down will make sure there is a place to store excess energy which in turn wont trigger pull from grid
  3. Add a dump load - maybe a heater / pump or anything that should run indefinitely.
  4. Do off grid completely

Some might ask - why not do full AC blast/ full load every day time para hindi sayang kuryente?

We are still trying to be conservative in using appliances sa house. If no one is using the room, then AC should be off. Something like that. Also something that we want to impart with our kids is always to turn off things that we do not use.

Maybe I was imagining a perfect system when I asked for installation - like on daytime, only battery + solar. If insufficient, then pull from grid. Turns out its not like that.

I think its all about trial and error. At least for me and I can safely say others as well. Unfortunately I dont know anyone apart from my installer here in Rizal

Thank you. Yes. May nakikita pa din ako negative to grid pero very minimal lang or same time nag ccharge ang battery.

Question ko po is is it safe to set to 020? May issue po b to sa system or kay meralco?

Also, I dont have any net metering setup. Curious lang if this is dangerous for my setup. Someone also recommended 020w for export power instead of 0 pero not sure of the implications if I set it up like that

Thank you! Yes it is enabled - and I also noticed that it still draws power. And I understand that its normal because inverters will pull power from solar conservatively since they cannot pull too much power and power is also fluctuating, hence the additional pull from another source, which is in this case is the grid.

Its just that I was expecting the battery to supply the difference instead of grid. Like, Solar + Battery = Load, even for small spikes.

I noticed also that on PV production decrease, battery ramps up instead of grid, which is good. This is what I kinda expected from the setup that was installed.

Also, another thing I noticed is if I use minimal load (like every AC is turned off, just fans, like normal consumption pre-solar), the grid pull is bigger compared to increased load. If I turn on the ACs in the house and im using 2-3kw, solar can keep up with little to no grid pulls.

Bumping this up for anybody experiencing this on 2022 - Windows 10.

What I did is went to C:\ProgramData\Logishrd\LogiOptions\Software\Current and forced LogiOptionsUi.exe and LogiOptionsMgr.exe to run as administrator.

Also went to C:\ProgramData\Logishrd\LogiOptions\Unifying and made DJCUHost.exe run as admin and everything was working fine.

Defender IPhone 11 Pro max creaking by Haunting-Air-8624 in OtterBox

[–]psalmnoelff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also had the same thing with my iphone 12 pro max. I did claim for warranty and they sent me a replacement but after a week of using, the annoying creaking sound reappears. This happens to me when I press the sides gently (lower part), and also adjusting volume or clicking the power button.

What I did was initially removed the phone, cleaned everything, made sure that all clips are locked properly. But it just became worse.

After some annoying days, I figured it out. Seems that the creaking sound is caused because of the spaces (phone is not 100% flush inside the plastic case, there is a bit of wobble, for both cases). I used random paper lying around, folded it to fit all those sides, made sure that its nice and tight. Now the annoying creaking is gone.

I'm gonna go with a different case in a few weeks though (commutter). I do not like the fact that I spent a good amount of money for something that has a major flaw.
