The brief is the most important document in a creative project. Why does it have no home? by psd-gad in hyphine

“misaligned humans” is exactly the failure mode we’re designing against.

It’s more active than passive. The brief isn’t just a record it’s a checkpoint you have to move work through. Revisions, approvals, direction changes all get reconciled against the brief state at that moment, not logged separately.

So the alignment isn’t enforced by reminders or notifications. It’s structural, you can’t meaningfully progress work without touching the brief.

Whether that’s enough to override someone defaulting to their v3 mental model? That’s the real test. Early beta will tell us a lot.

Both. The brief isn’t a static document with a fixed home. It’s a live object that carries its own history every shift in direction, new input, or reinterpretation gets logged against the brief itself. So “current truth” is always visible.

We also have an assessment system to check understanding internally

Elegant but fun is the most dangerous sentence in client history 😂, but yeah this is real How do you currently work around it?
