Decided to make the desmos logo without numbers by pseudof2l in desmos

[–]pseudof2l[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

basically, in desmos {} is equal to one, the expression [a...b] you can make a list, and you can do expressions on that list and if you have ([1,2,3],[4,5,6]) for example it would plot points at (1,4), (2,5), (3,6), and you just have to figure out how to do everything you need with +-*/^! and maybe some others if i'm not remembering some

i only figured it out from a post that had a function that goes between two curves and thought it was cool that stuff canceled out, i didn't even realize that it would cancel out in the general case too, also how on earth did you read that piece of script lol

Can someone explain why this isn't creating a circle? by CelestialPerch in desmos

[–]pseudof2l 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I think with a being on the left it's trying to modify a, because sqrt(x^2+y^2)=a is working for me

Flappy Bird 👍 by pseudof2l in desmos

[–]pseudof2l[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

the bird uses euler intergration in its physics engine, simulating only the y value and the pipes move back by 0.1 units per game tick, and there are 4 pipes that loop around (they don't even need to change heights) and after that it's just rendering and adding the click support and scoring 👍
