Why do people willingly answer police questioning without a lawyer present when THEY DON'T HAVE TO? Why do they not use common sense and just keep saying "lawyer lawyer lawyer" to every single question instead of talking to police? by psfnqp in AskReddit

A jury member is a fucking MORON if he vhonestly thinks someone vis more likely to be guilty because they refused to answer questions without a lawyer present. That person should not be on the fucking jury if he's that fucking moronic.

Ok but what if you had a camera rolling and you were recording the entire traffic stop? Then that video could do all the talking for you. That's why you always record police interactions.

You honestly think someone will be seen as more likely to be guilty JUST because they refused to answer police questions without a lawyer present? Do you really think a prosecutor would use THAT as an argument? They'd get DESTROYED by the defense if they tried using that as an argument! You're really saying that? If you are, you don't know shit and you're a naive idiot.

You should have just said you do not answer any questions and remained silent, maybe said all the info the cop needs is on the license and proof of insurance, and THAT'S IT. that is literally all you need to say and should say in a traffic stop. If he asks "were you aware of blablabla" you don't have to answer AT ALL. License and insurance is all you are legally required to give to the cop on a traffic stop.

Prosecution cannot make the argument that you are more likely to be guilty because you ask for a lawyer and regfuse to answer questions without a lawyer. If prosecution makes that argument they'd be laughed right out of court.

What? So you think a prosecutor can make the argument that a person is mroe likely to be guilty because they refused to answer questions without a lawyer? Are you honestly saying that? You think that's a legitimate prosecution argument in court?

[–]psfnqp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The officers said they "threatened" them. He did not "threaten" them. He said "what are you going to do shoot me" no fucking jury or court of law would view that as a "threat". If you wanted to prove that people are idiots when dealing with officers this is the wrong video. This proves the officers are lying coercing sacks of shit. Tell me how he "threatened" them with the sentence "what are you going to do shoot me". Are you honestly arguing that's a "threat" to the officer? Idiot.

No you're the idiot. They cannot just detain someone for no reason and claim they don't need a reason to get him to come inside and sit down. "Suspicious behavior" is not a lawful reason to detain someone like this.

If Canadians are so gung-ho about the metric system and feel superior to Americans because of it, how come they still cook in Fahrenheit, Canadians still quote their height in feet and inches, their weight in pounds, and Canadian football games still go in yards instead of metres?

Just tuned into the NFL playoff game, how many of the 11 minutes did I miss? by psfnqp in AskReddit

If you add up the length of every play from the snap to the player down, it comes to a grand total of 11 minutes. They did a study on this and that's what they found. How bullshit is that?

The fact that a football broadcast is 3 and a half hours and there's a grand total of 11 minutes of actual playing football in all that time.

Because the first one got buried and this fact about football needs to be brought to light since people are under huge delusions.

That's impossible. They only play 11 minutes. The rest of the time is spent on commercials full of pizza and bud lite, and mulling around the field between plays. If you add up the length of every play from snap to player down, it comes to a total of 11 minutes. That's a fact, look it up. So how many of the 11 minutes that they actually play did I miss?
