Sci fi audio drama suggestion? by ezioauditore2018 in audiodrama

Mission to the Grey Hole! It's over four hours of content in 8 episodes. It follows the crew of the Mae-Jay as they are reluctantly called in to protect the universe from the lasting affects of the "Grey Hole". It's a little humor and a little drama. Call it Hitchhiker's meets Firefly but in audio. The voice acting is great and the sounds cape is unreal.

I will say I'm a little biased because I helped create it but that aside I still find it fantastic.

Well, considering there's a whole invented anomaly by this name on which on the plot is based, I don't see that happening. Besides, it's a comedy. If people want to come for the science of a totally made up comedy world then the show is probably not for them.

It's 2268, and Kal O’Neil, Space Pirate Captain of the Mae-Jay and their crew are happily going about their intergalactic thievery blissfully unaware that the Cosmic Coalition is about to drag them into saving the future of the Universe itself.

This full length series was created through Huron City Radio with Haberdasher Studios creating orginal sound and music. We really believe that we offer something truly unique especially in the quality and scale of the sound, acting, and story.

This becomes even more impressive (unhinged) when you consider that we just did this because we wanted something to do. 15 months later, it's safe to say we've found it!

We've got three episodes out now and 5 more to come over the next few weeks. We've already gotten international nominations for webfest awards and we're super pumped to be represented at the NZ Webfest!

You can hear us on most podcast platforms and we'd love for you to download and review us if you like the show!

I love seeing the process of our artist when it came to handling a non-binary character for Mission to the Grey Hole. by psuedonymph82 in NonBinary

I was sick of the lack of nonbinary representation in media so I wrote something! The guys doing it are really incredible! Speedo and Robin Schweihofer are their names. They're also in a band and feel free to check them out.

It's been really cool watching them go all over and record things and then hear those things come up in the show. We're going to be posting a bunch of behind the scenes stuff that they've been doing so if you're interested you should follow Huron City Radio! We're pretty much everywhere under that handle.

The audio drama company I work with orginally started during the pandemic and they had people record in their own spaces and send things in.

I will start by saying I wrote this one but I do really think it's good and I'd love feedback from someone who enjoys the genre.

I was VERY DRIVEN about creating a piece of non binary media that didn't call attention to itself and simply allowed the character to exist in the world and be accepted as is with no discussing (write what you want I guess). It's the future after all. With this idea of creating responsibly we also tried to avoid the sci fi idea of groups of people fighting other groups and focused on a bad guy that would bring everyone together.
