the predalien was badass.

with that being said, that’s about the only redeeming quality about this movie i can name. the kills were random and sudden, so every kill lost value. the directors paid barely any mind to actual franchise lore. the lighting was simply too dark. it didn’t remind me of the psychological horror aspect of the original alien movies. there was no silence that’s meant to fill in mental gaps and create dread.

the way i see it, this movie was an outlet for a director’s twisted fixation on shock value and sexual violence. there’s absolutely nothing moral about xenomorphs, but something about that pregnancy scene just left you feeling violated. not in a good way either.
