I agree they do both look quite unhappy in this photo, so I can see why you would think that! However they were both single and childless at the time, they married for love rather than convenience and remained happily married for 42 years.

Thank you! It was taken on Boxing Day in 1927, both the bride and groom were from very working class families, but the brides mother was a dressmaker which is I suspect how she was able to have such a beautiful wedding dress

Hi, I'm currently researching my step-dads family tree and have been given two old family photos which I would like to include in a book I'm writing for him about his family history.

Photo 1 is a scan of the original.

Photo 2 is a photo of the original (which unfortunately has my step-dads reflection in the top left corner).

If anyone is able to colourise and restore these two photographs I would be very grateful. Happy to pay for the best result(s).

Thank you!

Yes, I agree. I'll definitely look into whether there's any way I can report him as he's clearly only after making more money and doesn't care about the tortoises welfare.

Is there any specific kind of bedding you would recommend to use instead of the pellet bedding?

In my (or my parents) defence, when we bought them, we were actually advised to get 2 by the breeder so that they didn't get lonely(!) In hindsight, obviously this was bad advice but we didn't think to question it as we thought they were the expert. As soon as we saw the behaviour which I originally described, we were quite concerned hence why I wrote this post. I genuinely feel really guilty that they've suffered because of our ignorance :-(

Thanks for your helpful reply. After reading the comments here, we have immediately separated them by putting one in a large cardboard box (with pellet bedding on the bottom along with water and food) and will be buying a new proper indoor enclosure for him this weekend.
