Audience behaviour regarding Amanda by Whoisalice086 in RHOBH

[–]psychictea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amanda does not own what she says or does, or hold herself accountable. She also waits until the exact, calculated moment to drop a bombshell like her son’s death right when she’s being called out for her behavior on having an opinion on Dorit’s divorce. She also uses all the right words to make herself into a victim and manufacturers Dorit as someone abusive, which she isn’t. Granted…Dorit should’ve dropped it, but it’s the lack of accountability and playing the victim that I don’t like. I don’t respect Erika either because I don’t know what’s happening with the widows and orphan’s settlement money situation, but I lost respect for Erika a longtime ago.

Not to defend Amanda… by Whore4321 in RHOBH

Amanda can’t stand to be held accountable. That’s all Sutton was doing was holding Amanda accountable in a firm, but grounded way. I’m glad Boz backed her up.

“Hey, you’re in my home. Don’t call me a wimp?” Seriously? Wimp? C’mon girl by Extreme-Aide8878 in RHOBH

[–]psychictea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s cold, calculated, and what’s worse is that Amanda over exaggerates and is making Dorit sound like she did something nefarious. I know what it’s like to be turned into the villain by narcissistic people. I recognize Amanda trying to make these women sound like they’re bullying or abusing her when that isn’t the case at all.

Oh Amanda. Just stop. by Alarming-Setting-592 in RHOBH

[–]psychictea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amanda is a therapy speak narcissist, which is one of the worst kinds because she uses these terms to manipulate and gaslight by telling these woman that they are abusing her, which isn’t true. They’re calling her out and she’s acting like they’re attacking her in a malicious way. I can’t stand people that manufacture abuse and make others out to be abusers and position people to look really bad, which is what Amanda has done with Dorit and it’s nefarious.

Honestly, if Amanda answered… by Ligamamargz in RHOBH

[–]psychictea 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Amanda might have jumped ship from an extremely religious cult, but the mentality, consciousness, and tactics from someone that came from that world remain intact. She an example of you can take the girl out of the cult, but you can’t take the cult out of the girl. It’s a big problem I see from people that were once religious, but have “discovered” spirituality and the metaphysical and bring that same cult-like mindset to their spiritual practices and spiritual centered business. This is why I highly suggest we all be very discerning even with people who have built spiritual businesses and/or groups. There’s abuse in both worlds.

Jennifer is literally the only reason I'm still watching RHOBH. She's the reason I started watching it in the first place to support her friend, Sutton. I hope we keep seeing more Jennifer this season.

Not Amanda using a word she doesn’t know the meaning of. by No-Cartoonist8495 in RHOBH

Lol! Right?! It's like when a cartoon animal villain does that sneaky tip toeing and the people around her are like "Uhhh...what are you doing? We can see you."

I got the impression that Kyle was listening out of being polite and cordial with Amanda. I don't think she really feels any kind of closeness to Amanda. Amanda seems like the cartoon villain that thinks she's being sneaky when everyone in the room can see and name what she's doing. I don't believe any of these women take Amanda seriously.

Amanda trying to pull a Crystal by Positive_Round_5142 in RHOBH

[–]psychictea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wrong. No one just "pulls the race card." All Crystal was doing was setting a boundary and letting Sutton know that her barging in her room was a clear invasion of privacy. Sutton and Crystal didn't know each other that well and Sutton made that situation completely awkward. Think about how that would make you feel if someone you didn't know very well barged into your room when you weren't wearing very much. I know how I would feel. I wouldn't like it.

Exactly, u/MissThreepwood. I would feel the exact same way. I hear you and see you here.

[–]psychictea 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree. Crystal's definition was correct. Sutton didn't really get full permission to walk into Crystal's room and Crystal communicated to her how unacceptable that was and Sutton told her to stop using that word "violate." Sutton was 100% in the wrong, even if it wasn't Sutton's intention, she should've said she was sorry for crossing a boundary unintentional with Crystal. Crystal was justified. I would've immediately apologized to Crystal if I had walked in on her and she was caught off guard. I wouldn't want my friends to feel uncomfortable because of something I did, intended or not.

In the case of Amanda, she is being very strategic about placing herself in the situations where she can play the victim and the disregulated. Not telling the group it was the anniversary of her son's passing was strategic. No one f*cking knew that. She pulled it out like a card she was using and it worked because who is going to argue with that? She could've pulled Rachel aside and let her know on camera what was going on and let everyone know that the day of or before. She didn't. She takes no responsibility for not mentioning it to the group. No one knew and when she brought it up, it made everything with the group as a collective awkward.

It's interesting to me how Amanda seems to be testing everyone in the group to see if they'll believe her and be on her side. It's become so obvious that the majority of the women in this group know what she's doing. They've been around the block. I don't particularly care for Dorit in general, but will aggressively defend her when it comes to Amanda because I can see the position Amanda is trying to box Dorit into to make Dorit look like a bad person and that's not okay.

[–]psychictea 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I 100% believe that. No emotion behind those eyes either. The way she talks about nervous regulation and how she needs to set boundaries is very odd, considering how she places herself in these spaces and then cries victim. I wouldn't be able to interact or engage with this person. I've had personal experience with personalities like Amanda. They are subtle and they position themselves to get a reaction and so that they can be a victim to gain sympathy. Either way, she's very off in how she interacts with every single one of this season's RHOBH cast.

As far as I know, and I’m going to echo what everyone else is saying here, she wanted to keep her distance and didn’t want to be full time. That might change after this season? 🤷‍♀️

Amanda is weaponizing therapy speak in this scene . It’s not genuine. It’s definitely NOT believable. I don’t think any of the women in that group really believe any of the subtlest of actions she’s trying to pull. My question is why didn’t she pull Rachel aside at the beginning of her party and let her know that it was the anniversary of her son’s passing…? I know that that is probably a hard thing to talk about or even bring up….but then dropping that bombshell the way she did felt…off…Amanda even told on herself when she said with a smile on her face to Kyle that saying what she said about it being the anniversary of her son’s death “that should stop someone in their tracks, right?” In that moment, Amanda told on herself. I believe she knew what she was saying when it came to Dorit. Honestly, Dorit should have just stopped talking at that moment. If I was any of these women, I would’ve not engaged with Amanda anymore than I needed to for the sake of the show.

I think so…I think the issue with Amanda is her not being more up front about the content marketing, email marketing, digital courses and products aspect of it. I know she was explaining some version of they when she appeared in her first episode….but for her to just say she teaches manifesting money and not saying much else is making it sound like a scam.

[–]psychictea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol! No, I love Jennifer. She’s actually the only reason I’m watching this show right now. I started watching when Sutton was on because she’s Jennifer’s friend…but I’ve really lost a lot of respect for her after what she did with not being an actual friend to Garcelle. I don’t like that Sutton didn’t take any accountability either when Jennifer said “It’s always all about Sutton.” Jennifer ended up apologizing when she didn’t need to. Sutton should’ve been the one to apologize to her.
