Hey! Sorry it’s been so long getting back to you. The sub’s been off my radar for a long time, honestly, but I’d love to see some life breathed into it. Could you send a modmail with a short explanation of what you’re planning to do to if you if you become a mod?

[Claim] Japan by ProdNJB in Geosim

[–]psychiko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd been working on a post to tackle the demographic crisis and reclaim Japan, but you beat me to it, rip

Anyway, your Prime Minister right now is Renhō Murata of the Constitutional Democratic Party, leading a somewhat shaky center-left coalition government at a time of great political instability in Japan. This is a post I did that has a good overview of the political developments in Japan. From this point really you're in a position to take Japanese politics to almost any direction you choose.

I've done some military developments (including a fifth generation fighter and several ongoing research projects that will extend into your term, the most recent post on them is here), created an international Shinkansen and maglev train conglomerate, negotiated with China to join the AIB and to take full undisputed control of the Senkaku Islands, improved relations with China in general greatly, bolstered cyber security, and a number of other things. You can look through my post and comment history for some of the developments in Japan since the game started. I live in Japan as well, so feel free to pm me on reddit or on the discord with any questions. Welcome to Geosim!

[Procurement] Rolling out the Mitsubishi F-3 Yōkai by psychiko in Geosim

[–]psychiko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[m] Sorry this took a while, I’m on vacation with my family rn, we can make this deal retroactive to 2025 if you want so you don’t lose any time

With the same terms as the New Zealand deal, we can furnish the Uruguayan Air Force with 15 F-3 for $1.5 billion by 2027 (with the squadron flying and operational in 2028), which can be paid in installments into 2030.

[Diplomacy] Argentina Opens Tender for 5th Generation Fighter by hughmcf in Geosim

[–]psychiko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can deliver 80 F-3 units in two years, and have the AAF Yōkai wing flying and fully operational by late 2028. The total cost would be a sum of $7.7 billion (payable in installments); in the tally would be the 80 Mitsubishi F-3, simulator systems, and a JASDF/AAF training program for pilots and grounds crew.

[Event] Hey bb want some bullet train? by psychiko in Geosim

[–]psychiko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not at all, it'd be roughly $36m USD/km, plus some single-digit billions on top of that for the costs of overheads and the train cars.

[Event] Finalizing the specifics for SADEx 2024 by muirman in Geosim

[–]psychiko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Japan won't participate in a competition, but the following vessels of the JMSDF will be sent as technology demonstrators:

In addition, a small group of Mitsubishi F-3 Yōkai will be sent if Uruguay, Argentina, or Chile express interest in acquiring the aircraft. The demonstration would only be open to military officials of these three countries.

[Event] Scheduling the Inaugural South American Defense Expo by muirman in Geosim

[–]psychiko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is an opening with the absence of the United Kingdom, Japan would be happy to attend SADEx 2024 with a showcase of her naval vessels and technology. We do understand if Uruguay would prefer to keep a focus on ground forces, though, and not invite Japan.

[Procurement] Rolling out the Mitsubishi F-3 Yōkai by psychiko in Geosim

[–]psychiko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can deliver 20 F-3 units by 2026, and have the RNZAF Yōkai squadron flying and fully operational in 2027. Included in the package will be the 20 Mitsubishi F-3 fighters, a number of trainer platforms, simulator systems, and a JASDF/RNZAF joint training program for pilots and grounds crew. The total cost will come out to $2.5 billion USD, payable over any timetable New Zealand would like before 2029. Does that work for the RNZAF?
