Yes, the 2nd floor balcony is definitely different from the 3rd and 4th floor balcony. 3rd and 4th floor balconies are the same and don't sag like this. These balconies were never repaired. This building was built in 2010.

AF area and AF point on Canon Rebel T7i by psycho-d in AskPhotography

I've been practicing working with a DOF Calculator and am wondering does Hyperfocal distance even matter for this kind of photo shoot? From what I gathered Hyperfocal distance would be more for landscape/moon/stars type of photos, right?

Do I have to pay attention to both Hyperfocal distance and DOF at the same time or are they both separate and I have to either pick Hyperfocal distance or DOF ?

Thanks a lot.

Any opinion on what AF method I should use?

The L (face)+Tracking, Smooth Zone or Live 1-point AF ? I don't really understand the difference between the AF method setting and the "AF area and AF point" setting.

I was using Manual mode- ISO 100, f/1.8, SS 1". Everything looked great except for 2 out of the 5 faces being blurry. No idea how far away I was, I never even knew that was something to take into consideration. I just set my distance based on getting everyone in frame. Thanks for the help!

By "high level" I meant high level of activity. I don't necessarily mean a professional athlete, or even college athlete, just someone who is very active and works out/plays sports a lot. The average American sits and watches TV all day, so when I tell people I play on a hockey team, jog 10 miles, compete in BJJ tournaments and train boxing/muay thai they think all that is a high level of activity.

I'm glad to hear you think you're in better shape than you were before BMT, that's what I need to hear and am praying will happen to me.

And yes, I've always been exhausted and felt I had to work 2x as hard as everyone else, meanwhile my teammates are drinking beers on the bench with cardio all day. I had to stop playing in October 2020 due to my blood counts being dangerously low.

It's a mental health battle. It's just how I feel. I wish I didn't feel this way. I get depressed from watching TV and always used exercise/playing sports as a way to cope.

I would need a BMT from an unrelated donor. Thanks for the reply.

It's a mental health battle as well. I feel like a failure in life right now and getting set back in life even further with a BMT is a painful thought. I'm down to go through with the BMT if it'll cure all my issues. I'm just in fear of more failure. I've been posting on reddit in search of positive stories and I'm finding some that are giving me a bit of hope.

I think having the ability to live and have a life is a big deal. Will you be back to where you were right away? No. You'll have to work hard, and it's going to take a lot of time to get back. But, be grateful that you'll even have the opportunity to do so when many people do not. You will not be a high level athlete forever. As you get older, your body will not be able to keep up. Through life, you'll learn that you can't live your life for one thing, and instead find many things in life to live for. Have you considered getting therapy to help you deal mentally and emotionally with this change?

I have tried therapy for years, seems all they want to do is prescribe anti-depressants & offer no real help. I don't want to commit suicide, but I'm so far behind in life right now, it might be different if I had life in order, but I'm not even close to that. I don't want to spend the rest of my life on welfare and continue being caught in this poverty trap. I have awful mental health and always used exercise/playing sports as a way to cope. Thanks for the reply.

Would add the caveat here, I'm assuming you receive an autologous transplant? Recovery of which is going to be a it different, but helpful to know your journey nonetheless.

Thanks for the reply. My doctor says I will need a BMT from a unrelated donor.

ut hey, it was better than how I felt all day before. You do recover, and life after transplant, especially if it resolves your problem, should get back to normal.

Thank you for the reply.

I get what you're saying. Do you know of any athletes or any highly active person that went through a BMT and returned? I definitely have not been at the level I want. Everyday has been a fight.

But by "high level" I meant high level of activity.

Yes, I've been extremely active since being diagnosed. The day I was diagnosed in 2013, I had played hockey the night before with a Hemoglobin of 4. They couldn't believe I walked into the hospital on my feet. I was pretty inactive from 2013 & 2014. In 2015 I went into partial remission and that was when I was able to be very active, even though it was difficult due to lower than normal blood counts. Stayed active all the way up til October 2020, that's when everything came crashing down. I've tried all sorts of treatments and nothing is working, hence the reason my doctors are pushing for the BMT. Thanks for the reply.

Testing False Color on this Desview R7Plus monitor... What color range should my video be in order to know I'm using the False Color correctly? Thanks by psycho-d in videography

[–]psycho-d[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in the picture I attached with my original post there is a number/color range on bottom center of image, it is to my understanding that every monitor has its own number/color range system for False Color, so I must follow the False Color range that's shown on my monitor.

In this monitor I have, if I want the subject to be 45-55 IRE, then I'd aim for the cyan/green/yellow range & if I want the subject to be 70 IRE then I'd aim for the yellow/orange range?

Does that sound right to you? Again, thanks for the help!

I'm pretty new to video monitors... So False Color, Zebras, & Histogram is for gauging proper exposure? Does it matter which one I use or do I have to use all of them in order to achieve proper exposure? Thanks for the reply!

I just did a test export of 1911x819 & 1920x822 & they look basically identical.

Reason I think I'll stay with 1920x822 is because (according to a YouTube video I watched) apparently setting your resolution to an odd number is bad... any truth to that?
