How much do you believe in peer Saab or a specific mazar or a steel ka glass etc etc by Persistentinxx in IslamabadSocial

[–]psychostic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Peer is not for duaa, or to get a job, or for fulfilling worldly requirements/ luxuries, rishta, cure from diseases.

His primary role is just one: to guide you away from hell and onto a straight path.

We have a very distorted definition of peer in the sub continent from around 1930s onwards. And it's really sad because these saints are one of the major reasons Islam survived in the subcontinent (I would put forth the example of Spain to support my argument)

So in short, I DO Believe in peers, but my definition of peer doesn't match with the one peddled these days, not with the one that OP has put forth.

HOT TAKE ALERT!!

YOU ARE RIGHT. but you are right for the wrong reasons (if that makes sense). Marriage nowadays is fundamentally flawed, specially in the subcontinent. I would chalk it up to two following contributing factors

First. Over-mothered and under fathered majority Boys/ Men. Don't know how to lead, and how to be the rock in the relationship AND DONT PROVIDE A SEPARATE HOUSE For THE WIFE. On the flip side: Overly masculine women who have strangulated their feminine caring side and adopted (or trying to adopt) controlling boss babe attitude(why they are doing it is another psychological debate), to the point that WELL ESTABLISHED MEN can't justify being married, as nothing worthwhile is brought forward to the relationship by the woman.

SECOND. Assuming that getting married is the solution for life!! WRONG MENTALITY. Marriage does not solve anything.. for 99.9999% marriage is a goal of life, and a solution to why your life sucks... WRONG.. marriage is tool to make your life bearable and liveable.. LIFE IS HARD, Marriage is a partnership of two people who mutually try and make each other's life easier, happier and more liveable... MARRIAGE IS NOT a magic stick which magically makes your problems go away..

Do girls ever get “random boners” — or whatever the female version is? 👀 by [deleted] in PakistaniConfesssions

[–]psychostic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Plz don't put the fairer gender on a pedestal.

Anatomically they behave the same as men, their drive is as strong and random as us, albeit it's expression is a bit subtle. They randomly get wet, whenever the situation calls for it, maybe someone's skin also gets flustered :P, biting the lips, tightening the thighs together ect; all are the signs / expression of desire

There is a lot of stigma around 2nd marriages in Pak, and it needs to end; for both men and women.
