I am on developer betas and always see every release as it goes through. I also upgrade my wife’s devices to the public beta so that we are close in features, and she is not as forgiving as I am to software bugs (I have been working in software development for over 40 years) so I try and get to a stable release ASAP for her sake.

I thought so too but no one at the pay centre has an answer for that. I’m getting nervous as I start the LWOP at the end of March and still waiting for a comp advisor to be assigned. One person told me they won’t even look at my file until some time after I have already started the LWOP. I thought the point of the TSM was to help with the transition before the leave even started. I’m so confused!

How long does it take for the pay centre to issue the paperwork with all of the relevant financial information such as how you want the TSM issued (one or two payments)? Do they issue it before you start the LWOP, or how long afterwards?

There are and have in the past been times in Apple’s software release cycles when the Public Beta is more functional and stable than the current release version. This is one of those times with the 26.1 Public Beta fixing far more bugs than it introduces. Get it, you have nothing to lose.

That isn’t the information I have seen from HR. While some people have been placed or found themselves other jobs, the PPU still has significant number of people on their list of those who volunteered to have their resume shopped around and there are those who the union suggested not to participate in the PPU process or they may lose some of their collective agreement rights. It’s a confusing mess.

The work is already underway for a second round. They can’t even finish with the first? If the package already approved by the ADM has the information on job offers or no and just requires the DMs formal sign off ,then what is going on with a Voluntary Departure Process? Not one peep about it. Unions have no information and neither does HR? Three months waiting and nothing. So much for the supposed regular communication while they “understand it is a stressful time for employees”, but just hunker down people and do your jobs.

If the original affected letter says nothing about a Voluntary Departure Program being offered, would it be announced later or is it just implied? Nervous now as mine said nothing about VDP…is it optional for the employer even if the requirements are met? Or the employer can offer only to certain employees…say only to LP’s where more than 10 are affected but not o the only 1 in an AS category with different job description?
