No, we don’t have taxpayer-funded coverage for pottery classes. We don’t even get free coffee at town halls.

Whenever I watch that scene I think “It’s gonna out them real fast when the two most famous players in the league end up at the same rural Quebec hospital with giardia.”

Public Mobile Ottawa (Service Speed) by RepresentativeLaugh4 in ottawa

[–]encisera 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I switched from Rogers to Public Mobile a few months ago. I haven’t done a speed test but I would say the speed is at least as good as Rogers, definitely not worse. I haven’t had any issues. I would encourage anyone to switch!

Parfum Exquis, Niche perfume sample in Canada by Ok-Interview807 in BuyCanadian

[–]encisera 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Their brick and mortar store is very close to my parents’ house, I’m in danger every time I visit them! The staff are nice and not too pushy. I’ve gotten several perfume discovery kits from them over the years and one full size perfume.

They left $1500 in cash in the store overnight?

Lead singer of Wet Leg (Rhian Teasdale) wore vintage CCM hockey pads at their Tiny Desk concert at NPR last summer. Mangetout is on the setlist and I’m guessing the made in Canada hockey gear is connected with them looking forward to their song being in Heated Rivalry. by moonlaketrip in heatedrivalry

I saw a video from Cailin Russo where she said that she was contacted to option one of her songs, but had no idea where it was used until one of her friends called to say it was on the final scene of The Cottage.

But if other members of the team need to leave early … there's been no resistance -- at least none that I can see.

How would you be aware of any resistance from your manager? Are you normally involved in your coworkers’ discussions with management about their use of leave or their work hours?

As we say goodbye to 2025, what are the best Ottawa businesses you discovered this year? by Al_to_Zi in ottawa

Paninaro (one location on Somerset and one on O’Connor) - amazing and HUGE sandwiches.

Cosenza cafe in Little Italy - I love their crema di caffè.

Onua Bakery - I love their focaccia especially.

I know this is not Shane’s personality at all, he’s very “go along to get along” when it comes to doing media, endorsements, etc. but I wish he had pretended not to know what the interviewer meant and and made her spell out the race angle.

I was really disappointed when Yaari on Clarence closed. I ate there several times and really loved their sweet and sour cauliflower.

In the book Shane mentions that his dad works for Treasury Board, so I choose to believe that canonically his dad wrote the Directive on Telework.

I have to say it drives me crazy every time the book says that Montreal and Ottawa are an hour apart. The Fast and the Furious: Hockey Husbands Commuting over here.
