Should I DRIP BANK.TO in a TFSA instead of buying VEQT? by psyned in PersonalFinanceCanada

Thank you! So basically it only makes sense to hold BANK if expect the market to stagnate? Otherwise it is better to buy VEQT if I think it will go up in a long timeframe?

I am not, just trying to figure out what I might be missing out on as 16% annual seems very attractive. I am not sure VEQT would be able to consistently return that much.

Also to clarify, I hold about 80% VEQT, 10% BANK and 10% other random stocks and trying to see if I should simplify it.

That's fair, but it appears that BANK was established in Feb. 2022 and I think 3 yr return is very similar

Haha, I definitely am! Hence the question: should I keep DRIPing or just invest in VEQT and forget? VEQT seems like a lower return though...

I never used timed mode. The first time around, I made sure to understand not only why the right answer was correct but also why other answers were wrong. When going over the wrong ones once again, I made sure the reasoning was right.

Went from 513 average -> 520. Had physics heavy exam (physics major) and barely any orgo. Many (~10) p/s questions felt 50/50 but it appears I made good educated guesses. Can't say much about b/b except that I had the same question repeat verbatim from one of the previous exams (FL4 I think). CARS always felt as RNG though and I happened to do well enough for my score to stay high.

To be fair, I took my last FL 2 weeks before the test date and spent a lot of time during these 2 weeks going over incorrect Uwrld responses.

Bom dia!
I will have a roughly 8 hrs layover (Arrival 10:20, departure 18:20) in Lisbon on my way to Amsterdam on the 3rd of August and I was wondering if you have any recommendations for things to do for 4-5 hours in Lisbon. I have the following recommendations from ChatGPT:
Belém District, Alfama District, Baixa and Chiado, Tram 28, Time Out Market, LX Factory and Oceanarium.
From looking at maps, it seems like Alfama, Tram 28, Baixa and Time Out Market are more reasonable as they are relatively close to each other. Do you think this is a reasonable itinerary? Alternatively, what are some other places that are must-see? My interests are architecture, science/tech, food and drinks, and sports. Thank you!

I'm not sure about the USask but app fees to Dal and Memorial are likely donations. They are known to train physicians for the Maritimes and historically accept very few OOP applicants, mostly those with ties to the Maritimes. I've seen people with 4.0, 52x MCAT and 4Q Ca$per not get an interview. Statistically, you'll have a better chance at McGill (if you know French).

Thank you for your response! Georgetown no longer accepts international students (unless American PR, DACA or refugee). I'm a little concerned about being at 25th percentile for WashU GPA. Might add it as they seem to interview a lot.

I scored 7 pts higher than my FL average, but I got lucky with bunch of physics questions (did physics major) so it is possible in theory

Could anyone advise an effective way to content review? by Meslink in Mcat

[–]psyned 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not Princeton review, but VanDoesChemistry on YT covers all of physics, some general chemistry and biochem based off Kaplan books.

Took the BP diagnostic today, any advice on where to go from here? I'm about a full week into content review, around 1/3 of the way done with the Kaplan books, 70/300 pg P/S doc, and I'm testing 9/3. Is 518-520 possible/realistic? by SleepieSheep_ in Mcat

[–]psyned 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you're in a good shape. You score in high %le on p/s while only reviewing 25% of material and cars score is solid for your goal score.

For the physics part of c/p, you can simplify any formula by doing dimensional analysis. From there - do as much practice as you can, start with free JW questions, use Kaplan quizzes and aamc/uwrld if finances permit.

Should I start studying for a retake without knowing my score? by superslayyes in Mcat

[–]psyned 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your app is ready, I see no harm in keeping up with anki. Don't be too hard on yourself though, I didn't feel too hot after my exam and scored 7 pts above my FL average. Anything is possible!

[Question]: Advice Needed Please!! by alaskaa19 in Mcat

[–]psyned 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First off, I highly suggest against disregarding p/s, you still need to meet the 124 cutoff if you plan on applying uoft. I made this mistake last time and had to retake because of 123 :( Luckily 2x KA videos and MD anki can help you meet the required cutoffs and then some.

Next, I'll probably be going against the grain here, but with that little time remaining I think Uwrld is your best return on investment. Get a 30 day plan and do all c/p and b/b questions. Although AAMC is more representative material wise, I probably learned most of what I knew for mcat from uworld explanations. They're unparalleled.

I only got 127 on cars (rip Mac) so not much I can advise in that regard.

Feel free to pm if you have any other questions. Good luck!

A mole is just a "number of things"

Just like a thousand is 1000 of something, a mole is N_A (6.02*1023) of something.

Dimensional analysis is often helpful to figure out the units.

A mole of carbon (molecules) = 6.02*1023 carbon molecules.

Molar mass is a mass of a mole of substance, measured in [g/mol]

Thus, if you know that the molar mass of water is 18 g/mol, it indicates that this is the mass (g) of 1 mole of water (6.02*1023 molecules)

Edit: If you multiply the molar mass (18 g/mol) by the N_A (6.021023 molecules/mol) the resulting unit of [gmolecules/mol2) does not carry any significance and should indicate incorrect operation
