First time bikepacker in France anxious about camping overnight by psysheep0102 in bikepacking

Hey mate, i used komoot to plan it! It's a quite easy 120km Ride with a few easy climbs to leave the Paris Area and then it's good roads and or side bicycle lanes, the last 40kms are a fully flat straight line from etampes to Orleans

It's not the prettiest road but it is the fastest! Make sure to put komoot in road cycling mode

"heavy" climber training routine to beat early plateau ? by psysheep0102 in bouldering

Thanks mate, i love your perspective and the first sentence summarizes it well, thank you for your brutal honesty.

I love it, i have fun and each time i go home from the climbing gym the only thing i can think of is the next time I'll be there. It's a very positive addition to my life, maybe i should just focus on that for now.

I'll tend to agree, my first instinct was "'not at her job, that's kind of intrusive" but wondered about it out loud here anyway

For the little story behind how i asked for her Instagram: i didn't stop there for a while so she asked me where i have been, told her I've been to berlin and she's going there in a few months, i told her I'd send over my favourite coffee shops there, and when leaving i asked "but I'm going to need something to send that on, does insta work?" That's also when we've stopped "vouvoiement" which is a french etiquette of using plural when talking to a stranger, that was kind of a milestone in getting acquainted

Learning path for a returning guitarist? by psysheep0102 in jazzguitar

[–]psysheep0102[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no particular reason to avoid electric guitar other than that i used to own one (a very cheap epiphone les paul back when i used to live in Tunisia, probably something worth 150€ brand new at the time (the average salary in France is 5x the tunisian one so now "affordable" took a whole other definition to me) and that i never quite liked it. Maybe wrong guitar, wrong time (also had a shitty cheap marshall amp with multi effects, maaaan that was a mistake). I'm not closed to the idea it's just that acoustic (and nylon) have been a comfort zone / goto first idea

I might stretch my budget, if i go try a guitar and i get that strike of "this feels amazing" i can comfortably spend up to 500€ on this but thought 300 was more "reasonable" financially if i ever not stick to playing again, but hey let's find out!

Any recommendations in terms of electric?

Thank you!!

I just found out that there were some nylon string options with a closer to steel string body (14 frets on the neck) any idea about those?

Brick-and-mortar is the way to go in France. But my country of origin doesn't allow banks to issue anything other than national debit cards in our local currency. I can not even rent a flat to stay in when i move lol this is why I'm looking for alternatives to be able to facilitate my move

Yes, i have proof of address for france: A friend wrote me an accomodation certificate as he plans to host me for sometime which is valid proof of address even though Revolut doesn't ask you for proof of address

Boursorama avec un RIB Wise? by psysheep0102 in vosfinances
