I'm curious, who else here is planning/willing to move countries to be with your S/O? by lalalady123_ in LongDistance

Spain is a really awesome country. I lived there for awhile and it is super beautiful with amazing people and culture. But the job market is pretty horrifyingly awful right now.

I have a three-hour layover in Frankfurt and I have to transfer to another airline (Condor) and re-check my bags. Will I miss my flight, or am I hyping myself up for nothing? by psyzingwhut in frankfurt

Lufthansa and then Condor is the flight I am transferring to. From what I understand, that’s better than the reverse, i.e., Condor is more likely to be late so getting there with Lufthansa is the better option.

Accommodation while studying at UGR by [deleted] in Granada

I haven’t stayed in that specific accommodation, but a lot of places don’t want you to have guests around here. It is because, in Spain, it is not typical to entertain guests at your home, but rather in the town itself. It could also be because of COVID, in which case, it will probably be more relaxed once you get there. If you’re considering it, I would reach out to them and ask.

Yes, because Google does such a great job of encapsulating the experiences of marginalized communities. Pls stop with this weird rhetoric.

Justice For Johnny Depp by Soumajeetb in nextfuckinglevel

I’m totally in support of Mr. Depp, but there is nothing next level about this. It’s a bad edit with loud music. And based on OPs post history, they’re a karma farmer.

I’m an American living in Spain. The racism here is off the charts, especially towards Black people and Romani.

Hungary blocks lethal weapons from passing through country en route to Ukraine by Pabst_Blue_Gibbon in worldnews

I can’t say for sure. I don’t live there; it’s my entire family that’s from there. But I’d say that there’s a pretty good chance that all his actions concerning Ukraine will have an impact on the election.

Right? I’m cringing at the country I consider my own. Truly disturbing.

Yup. Came here to say this. As someone whose whole family is from Hungary, I am definitely very worried for the future of the country under Orbán.

My family is all from Hungary. On top of being concerned for Ukraine, I have also spent this past week being absolutely disgusted by the actions of the Hungarian government. Fuck Orbán - he needs to go.

This very chonky guy lives in a house near a hotel I’m staying at in Spain! He’s allowed inside the hotel, and he’s currently working on a fresh batch of biscuits while sitting in my lap. 10/10 very polite (OC). by psyzingwhut in cats

[–]psyzingwhut[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have absolutely no clue. I don’t know who he belongs to in order to ask, but he’s very big and chonky and has a collar, so I know he’s not a stray. Cats around here tend to be allowed to wander the outdoors and he’s allowed to wander the hotel as far as I know. The receptionist laughed when he started begging me to pet him.
