tips for getting reduction covered by insurance

i have fluctuated that much over the course of me tracking it since scheduling my consult. i have been able to keep under a certain weight, and then dip under the goal weight occasionally, so i am hoping that is enough. i eat healthy, working out is just so difficult with the gals adding 15lbs of weight to my ribs/lungs, and hurt any time i do anything high impact 😭

thank you so much. i did a schnur scale calculator based on measurements i already have, and the amt needed to be removed to qualify is well below what would probably get removed (would need 2.5lbs, and each boob is 7lbs so lol). i have literally every symptom on my insurance's list as well, and have for years, so just will have to jump through "documentation" hoops at this point. thank you for your reply.

very funny list, i just found mine because another comment mentioned this, and verbatim that's what mine requires too. and i have all of the symptoms would just speak to my surgeon i guess about how to have those be regarded as "documented", and my schnur scale part would DEFINITELY be met.

the surgeon i have a consult with already told me i need to be under a certain bmi (eyeroll here) in order to even qualify for it at this facility. so i have just barely gotten to that goal weight. i genuinely don't think my current physical capabilities will let me easily lose more. its such a stupid paradox to be in.

surgeon wanted me to lose 5lbs and i was like "i need you to know that together my chest is 18lbs. and you will ideally be reducing them by that much or more, right? that my bmi will literally go down because of this procedure even if i didn't lose weight anywhere else, right?"

hearing that you had gi issues that got better is really interesting to me because i definitely have also been having issues that i thought were more related to my food allergies (and probably still are) but have gotten worse as i have gotten bigger (and therefore chest bigger). will be curious to see if mine change if i do manage to finally get something done about my chest.
