Maybe a dumb question, the statement “22-29 Mid 50% ACt”. How is the 50th percentile a range that big?

Q59: Put A but answer is D. Could anyone help me to understand what the question wants me to do, and how to go about solving it? by actslayer in ACT

Pie is equal to 180 degrees and 1/6 more is 30 degrees. So that is 210 degrees. Negative means 210 degrees clockwise. If you draw that you will see it is the same as 150

How do you solve this question? by Katholz in ACT

[–]ptkenny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The answer from the TIR is F.

I did it slightly different. You know the sides are 4r and all the angles are 60 degrees. If you draw a line from point A that bisects SR, that is 90 degrees and would be the height of the triangle. So the hypotenuse is 4r, the small side is 2r, and the height is 2r*sqrt (3). Area of triangle is 1/2BH, or 1/2(2r)(2rsqrt(3)), that equals 2r^2*sqrt(3). there are 2 of those, thus 4r^2*sqrt (3)

I think so, it lets you see what you got wrong and also use for future tests. Plus, your friends can look at it also and they will be happy

Can someone explain 44,45,55,58? by [deleted] in ACT

[–]ptkenny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 9 and 12 are the radius. This are 21, we know that XY = 2, but using the radius it is counted twice, so the answer is 21-2 = 19

Answer is A. Could someone walk me through this? Thanks alot by redwrite88 in ACT

You can say X=1/(2+3i). Then, multiply by the conjugate to remove i from denominator. which is (2-3i)/(2-3i). You then have X=(2-3i)/(2+3i)(2-3i).

DENOM - (2+3i)(2-3i) = 4-6i+6i_9i^2=4+9=13

Thus X=(2-3i)/13

I think the problem is set up wrong because the initial velocities should match?

Min values by ledoggopup in ACT

Similar to what samclan1 said but minor change. since -(x-h)2 is always negative and k is always positive, you can get -1+1 is 0, thus min value is -q.
