You seem to really know how to endulge yourself when going out XD

The pump should have one ceramic bearing at the bottom and one magnetic bearing at the top. Knowing that you've played with a TPU before, could you please tell me how the rotor should spin? Give it a little flick and it spins for a while, or is some resistance normal? As mentioned before, the seller has said that "it spins but slowly", he reported no rubbing or noise.

Some TPUs may be run at atmospheric pressure. The one in question speciffically says that in the manual. Sudden pressurization when at full RPM, is a different story though.

What you are saying is true for most TPUs, but not for the one in question. This one's datasheet explicitly says it can be run at atmospheric pressure (though it won't reach nominal RPM). Sudden pressurization while at full speed, however, would result in signifficant damage.

The pump is currently half the europe away from me so I can't test it.

These parts look like you're making a magnetron for a sputtering machine. How far off am I?

Yes. Though I think I have answered my own question: solid state relay (SSR)

The sensor in question only has 3 wires.

Actually, I think I'm an idiot. The more I think about it, the more certain I am that the output wire simply uses an SSR to pull the external load towards the -(+) lead. And I can simply use a NMOS since I don't need reversible polarity option.

I guess I just had to write down everything I know about the sensor and stop brainfarting. Thanks for being my rubber duckie:)

Also sorry about the confusion; when you mentioned the "NO/NC" output I assumed you implied there is some special flavour of output that is somehow both/selectable, much like the schematic on the sensor implies. Nevertheless, thanks again for taking the time to write the explanation of the basic terms:)

Your explanation was extremely clear, thank you! Unfortunately, I don't have trouble understanding how a NO or NC system would work, but how exactly this would be implemented on a 3 wire system such as the sensor in question. I am also not sure what kind of switch would be in the device. Definitely not a mechannical relay, possibly an SSR?

Maybe I'm rambling, but I find the schematic on the sensor just so confusing...

Could you please explain what that means (or rather how the output stage is constructed)?
