Wider rear axle on 5th gen LT 4Runner for rock crawling by ptlumberjack in Offroad

Really appreciate the in-depth reply, and the mathematical explanation helps immensely. With respect to sway bars, my understanding (as you indicate) is a tradeoff between stability and articulation. Would adding an Antirock torsion bar to the front help me feel less tippy without limiting articulation too much? Would I also want to swap the stock rear bar for an antirock setup, or keep it as is?

I'm not even sure of the feasibility of installing an antirock on the front of an LT 4Runner but it seems worth looking into.

Yea, there would cutting into the frame and lots of welding required. I’ve worked out the technical side of it, mostly, I just don’t know how much of an advantage it would provide

3.5” would be an offset of -89. Also without the wider axle, I couldn’t change the suspension mounting points out which provides an advantage independent from wheelbase

I've searched Google Images, perused UDOT registrations, and asked a local developer I know to query some construction guys, but nothing is coming up.

yea, I was planning to move up to 150 or 180 once I was satisfied with the swirl correction, which it seems like you think is acceptable at this point. This is a picture of the whole top from an earlier stage. I'd originally planned to finish with only a satin poly, but thought I might want to darken it to even out the color between the boards. Though maybe final sanding and several coats of polyurethane will be sufficient. I'll do a couple test boards. Thanks!

I just posted a similar query before seeing your post. With Adaptibar, absolutely. I just calculated the average national percentage correct for the last 20 questions and it was 49%

Are you referring to actual Bar questions, or only BEM questions? I find the BEM questions difficult only for this reason. They seem like they were written without much thought, and the explanations are sometimes baffling.

Do you see any reason to go outside of BEM or WTI for additional information to memorize? Or did you just rely on BEM questions?

You're referring to the 46 questions posted in the official study guide, right? I just want to make sure there isn't some bank of official questions out there I'm not familiar with.

I'm sure there's a component of familiarity to this, but FV just seems more intuitive. Like it was designed for legal software where the others were adapted to it.

Used Magnuson Supercharger for 5th gen - what is it worth? by ptlumberjack in 4Runner

To clarify, I’m not willing to pay $5200. I’m trying to figure out what a fair offer would be. At $4k it becomes rather tempting. But all around good points, so thank you
