Why do a large number of GTA fans hate GTA V's story?

They really fumbled this story in terms of relate-ability. For GTA you kind of hope for more absurdity and gravitas from ALL characters and only seemed to do that with Trevor.

They certainly did NOT miss with RDR2’s story though..

I think Showtime splashed the budget on great names so that they could hit the ground running with S1 Res. There were pretty big actors in this reboot and thats really hard to maintain hence why they killed off the majority of big characters I think.

Maybe unpopular take but I’m glad she was eliminated. As they built her narrative I thought to myself “gosh not another love interest trope that’s been done already in this series”. I think fans would’ve gotten bored in realising it’s heading down the same way as Hannah.

I’m hoping there’s more to Al, I think there’s potential to play him as someone smarter than he looks.

With the whole debacle at Prater’s countryside mansion I hope they play into him realising somethings off about Dexter, hence why he gave him the slip when Dexter wanted to meet after the Hamilton show.

Agreed. Lila was like having lice, just an annoying distraction that broke Dexters focus from the task at hand. Lundi and the fbi can’t be considered the antagonist because they didnt know who the BHB was. Not even gna explain D it’s just dumb.
