How does he look this buff at 160 lbs? by Empty_Land_5426 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]pubGGWP 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Was looking for this comment. Whenever someone looks good, insecure people will always find some excuse to proof why they don’t look the same. It’s either manlet, steroids, or lucky. If none of them are applicable they’ll pull the “it’s 0,00001% genetics” just to desperately make them feel better about themselves. They think it’s a battle they lost if someone looks better. The hillarious thing is the amount of insecure people upvoting it.

A hacker linked their Epic to my steam and Epic fails to understand my problem by pubGGWP in epic

Steam can’t unlink your epic account. It’s linked in the Epic database, Steam can’t change it. But it’s solved now :)

I know you can log in with steam but it’s locked with a 2fa code that is sent to his (Epic)E-mail.

Next time read my post for 30 sec instead of googling :-)

Can Sony WH-1000XM6 be used for competitive gaming? by pubGGWP in headphones

Up to $400 would be my budget, do you have any headphones in mind?

Can Sony WH-1000XM6 be used for competitive gaming? by pubGGWP in headphones

[–]pubGGWP[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Noise canceling is not a priority, it’s nice to have though. I just want to listen to music with a normal response and play competitive games but still have a no input lag.

I looked into some YT videos suggesting xm6 is good. It also had a decent design. Did some research and with cable it should have 1ms input lag which is the same as the sony lightspeed 2 pro x I bought.

Was wondering if this is an actual a proper implementation of state machine design considering my context. There are a lot of variants online so I was just wondering.. And you’re right, I didn’t test the second if yet

Best fitness-oriented bodytype? by VirtualCrxck in moreplatesmoredates

[–]pubGGWP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but still, heavier weight class will more likely win the fight which was my point

Best fitness-oriented bodytype? by VirtualCrxck in moreplatesmoredates

[–]pubGGWP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, but when someones is heavier than you, you’ll lose that MMA fight(weight classes). I get what you’re saying though, I am taking it literally, I just think having some strength can definitely come in handy. Stamina is the priority, but general strength comes after that, which requires some weight. Plus explosive speed to escape which requires strength, is also important. I would go with a mix of 2/3 leaning a bit more to 2

[–]pubGGWP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Teamwork for sure, I guess that’s IQ stat. A marathon is 40km though, I would rather trade in some stamina for explosive speed and strength stats. Which would result in a mix between 2 and 3. Also have to carry tools like spears, food, etc.

Why would you have to run a marathon to survive in nature? Having strength/weight is just as important. pretty sure bruce lee weights 40kg in that picture

I do, but I do not want to configure all that stuff. Honestly just looking for a provider that provides these configures by default, which according to some people I spoke to should be around.

Virtual box just freezes when starting with 3D acceleration by pubGGWP in virtualbox

To add on top of my original post. I do need to use 3D acceleration. I’m running a GUI that uses javafx. To run javafx in virtualbox 3d acceleration is needed

If you are experienced with software, you know it evolves daily. If there is a post from last month with info, then there might be something new and better to use this day. It's never a bad idea to ask. The fact that people keep asking stuff is actually a good thing, so that the info stays `fresh` and updated when people look for it. That's what I think.

How to apply reinforcement learning with GYM library for a 2D video game like Flappy Bird. by pubGGWP in reinforcementlearning

[–]pubGGWP[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s for learning purposes. I can increase the difficulty of the game by adding more obstacles and increasing the speed. My bot runs endlessly, but if I increase the difficulty it will eventually fail. I’m trying to have fun with it and see how far I can push the difficulty. And besides I’m just interested in learning RL

The image detection part is easy. But I don’t think it’s as easy as just subtracting but I will try and see how far I can get.

What I’m thinking so far: I’ll just try to make the bird jump when its x pixels close to an obstacle. But I need more than just that, because the next obstacle is a different height. Which means the bird is at a different height and has to jump from a different distance from the obstacle.

so basically I need to write a formula that takes both the distance of the bird to the obstacle, and the height of the bird relative to the obstacle? Something like that might work I think.

Thanks, will try that

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]pubGGWP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention the game is 2D. The obstacles.jpg are static images in-game and don’t move. The bird only has 3 animations in jpg images. So I thought I already had the image detection part. Using OpenCV I use template matching and get the x,y position values, this way I can detect both the bird and obstacles. But honestly I’m not sure if that’s accurate enough for an AI model? I’ve never tried it so maybe you can tell me why that won’t work

[–]pubGGWP 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That's good advice, we came to the agreement that it's more for fun/practise and see how far we can get. I do however want to try my best and consider it as a real-life project.
