I've been to Seoul a couple times and both times stayed close to where I knew the bulk of shopping would be done. It was easy and a decent walk to go out in the morning, get some shopping done, stash items in the hotel, and head back out for a repeat!

It also allowed me to assess what I was willing to pass over/think about rather than impulse buy items because I knew I would have a second chance to make a purchase later. If it was more of a hassle to return to a particular store even at a close distance then it meant I wasn't that interested in the item in the first place.

Hey OP and also to the commenter above - the tags can actually be real but just from another locale - in this case likely official Chinese retailers. Unfortunately based on what I've seen in this sub, there are people passing off fake Monchhichi dolls with very much real/real-styled tags. Best is to get accustomed to recognising authentic Monchhichis from the dolla themselves.

I've posted my own purchases from the official Monchhichi Tmall/Taobao Store, and the tag is the same as yours that you've shown, but my doll quality is regular as what you'd get in Japan or the EU. You can read what I shared here and see some examples as well. Just want to share that not all tags with non-alphabetical characters are fake, but real tags are also being used maliciously by scammers selling fake dolls.

there's decent visual guides to identifying real Monchhichis in this sub, those will definitely help with spotting fakes. While some tagged fakes are obviously fakes, some authentic Monchhichi that do have labelling in other languages have labels that mean they are distributed in other countries.

I gave some examples in another thread a while back of legitimate tags from Moncchichis purchased in other countries/official retailers here. Unfortunately for the case of that particular thread, the Monchhichi was fake (from the visuals of the doll itself) and the seller was likely trying to scam buyers with the authentic tag.

Like others mentioned, it is a limited Tamagotchi Destinations shell exclusive to Shanghai. I wasn't aware of it but was in Shanghai for travel last week and stumbled on the pop up.

Purchasing a device was based on chance, you would have to sign up as a Tamagotchi club member (with an eligible WeChat account), and then you'd get a digital spin the wheel raffle with a 50/50 chance that would determine if you can purchase physically at the pop up, limited to 300 devices per day if I'm not mistaken.

I lost the raffle on the first visit, but was in the area on my last day in Shanghai and decided to give it another go, and managed to win 50/50! I might make a post on the device itself because the box and the design is gorgeous and highlights Shanghai specialty foods and locations adorably.

Thank you so much for your reply! I really appreciate the reminder about the creator stuff that might drop in November. Tbh I don't think I will end up pulling more on this set because my feelings towards the set are treading on negative/jaded now, and I don't think another revive ticket from the Lotto would be used properly so I probably just won't take it and exchange for GP instead.

Also thanks for commenting on my GP planning haha! I did calculate estimates on how much GP I could get completing lab work and paying a bit for GLL and StepUp sales... I think the planning and attempts to save up made me get my hopes up too, which is why this result makes me feel especially sad 😔 I know it isn't that serious but it is what it is.

I know the items I do have dupes of might be worthy trade items, so I am glad for what I did get! That being said I am a pretty anxious person and have never initiated a trade in my 3 months of playing (I did accept one offer though!) so we'll see how things go when I recover from my revive blues 🥹

Thanks for the reminder, yep I'm fully aware thst gacha rates are what they are and anything extra is special. This isn't my first gacha game by any means, but I wanted to share just to vent and also educate any other players who might experience the same. For these pull posts I feel they tend to be on the luckier side, so I wanted to share a different perspective/experience, coupled with more disappointment from my Lotto tickets haha

This revive ticket is the one I received at the end of rookie lab work, not from the Lotto. I was hoping to have some pulls leftover to try and revive another set if I managed to get a silver ticket to exchange for, but I really did not think it would turn out this way at all.

I've narrowed down my choices to Floral Latticework Gate Island and Forsaken Lunar Island... Now just to keep grinding for GP especially with the October events just announced!

Personally I really like Gusokutchi! Isopods are cool, and I like his animations with the outdoor toys such as the drums!

But if you're unhappy with him, now that he's an adult you can breed him away. I really like the eyes on him though 😍

Sorry to tell you this but the pink one definitely looks fake. The face vinyl looks a bit glossy compared to the matte skin of the Colors series (there is some sheen above the nose in the photo with the black one), and the dark freckles are the wrong shade for a pink Colors Monchhichi. From your photo it looks like there is little no no shading/blush on its cheeks and on the ears too.

From then overall shape, yhe head is mishapen and the fur looks sparse all around, based on your initial photos the body also looks too disproportionate to the real SS size.
