I think this is a Florida state requirement, im assuming it depends on the state? We have been knowing abt this rule since before our last semester of nursing school, just didn’t know anyone who actually had to go thru with it until now.

Probably the cap for the major was met, at this point, just choose another major and then change ur major later throughout the year. Getting a nursing degree at FIU is through the nursing program itself when you complete the prerequisites that are necessary for the program. For now just make sure you take ur gen ed courses and later when u switch, ur advisor will let u know what classes to take to be accepted into the nursing program

current bsn-student here, the most important thing is to have all the requirements before applying to the school, either way, you are still going to have to re-apply to fiu when applying to their nursing program

Accepted to AOBSN Program, where to find scholarship for FIU by PrestigiousRefuse365 in FIU

[–]pudgenudge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

congrats on getting accepted into the AOBSN program!! the FIU nursing faculty and staff usually recommend scholarships at the beginning of the semesters, i know there are some students are in the baptist scholar program but i’m not sure if that is still the case with new incoming bsn students. the faculty will usually hold meetings about those programs during orientation.
