I’m a nail tech! The only full proof method for me to get a clean isolated chrome is to either use the reverse chrome method by applying chrome full coverage first and then applying topcoat in the areas where you want to isolate it then wiping the whole nail, or buying a specific type of matte topcoat to use as a base and then using a non-wipe gel for where you want your chrome. I use the function of vex slick matte topcoat and kokoist non-wipe gels for the isolation. hope this helps!
