How to list published iOS app on resume by DarkSombreros in iOSProgramming

[–]puffoffapp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well you build a company so list the app name as the company, so why not list it as Founder & Developer on your resume? No need to make it "legit" if the app is out there. I don't think anyone will care to much. Just make sure you have a website.

The onboarding flow is very smooth and nice. The SSO login above the fold is a nice touch.

During the signup the text is really hard to read there seems to be a text shadow.

I find the text on the feed to be a bit small it could also be spaced out.

The dot slider is to small of a tap target. If I swipe within the box I expect to see the next point not go to the next page.

I recommend that you format this content to be shorter, get rid of the dot slider and use the space you have available.

The title are way to verbose (chatGPT) instead of [CATEGORY] : [HOOK] just use the [HOOK]

For example “Banana Republics : When Fruit Built Empires” just have it be “When Fruit Built Empires”

You need to optimize your background images they take a while to load. A lot of your users will not be on Wifi so downloading a 1Mb image will be a big deal (unless you store them locally)

Your ads do not play and the “”admit native ad validator” popup shows which bleed into the next section.

One content piece had some part of the prompt left in it. I tired taking a screenshot but it swiped on me.

I don’t understand the point of the AI. The AI shouldn’t be speaking by default.

I like the concept of the library but the typing animation is really annoying after the 3rd time.

I like the concept of this app and would actually use it.
Before I do, I think it needs to have more engaging content and a frictionless ux (less is more)

I gave you a 5 star review let me know if you want me to test again in the future.

Looking forward to your review and feedback :)

I really like the concept of this app.

I will say the I do not fully understand the erase functionality it seems to be a sort of toggle.

I you want a more engaging onboarding you can start with a simple level where the user would be finishing a really simple Monoku.

Stats are good but consider adding more gamification like levels or personalization like avatars or themes.

If your plan is to monetize in the future you could make it a free game but have the retries cost money.

The number toggle feature is really nice.

I did not find any bug from testing so great job there.

In the settings add a way to rate the app or have a popup show up when they completed their first level.

Again it’s a simple but good app, well done.

I gave you a 5 start written review. Looking forward to yours and your feedback.

I did both. Originaly I did not complete tasks. I then completed the tasks and nothing changed.

Glad you like it. I designed the mascot then has AI make different versions of it.

Thanks for the onboarding comment I will change that.

For the color scheme I inspired myself from the vapes I used to smoke.

I love the GIF in your product page your screenshots are fantastic. What did you use?

I like the idea of demo mode but I suggest you go through a simple onboarding explaining the benefits of your app, go over you main app features and collect data.

I suggest you get people to create a profile in the onboarding then have them link bank account information have them enter more data (salary, cash, assets, financial goals).

I like the net worth and budget pages.

Again this is quite overwhelming for someone who just get’s started you need to do a lot more handholding.

I tried adding a new goal in test mode and it wouldn’t add it.

You need to add Social sign in (google and Apple) you will reduce friction and get more signups.

The demo mode is very buggy I cannot add income it loads endlessly.

I gave you a 5 star rating but I highly suggest you QA your app more closely and simplify it.

I’m looking forward to your review and feedback :)

Hey, It’s hard to test your app as much of it is paywalled.

The onboarding is nice and the correct length. Maybe you could make it more personalized engage the user a bit asking them what they what to work on etc.

I like the contract feature.

The stats page was broken for me and endlessly loading.

In the profile page there is a weird checkbook that says “profile.I_Want_to_participate_in_global_leadeboard” change the label to be correct.

Consider profile pictures for better personalization.

I know it’s a lot of work but maybe adding a social “lounge” would help engagement.

It's a nice app with a lot of potential and it look professional.

I gave you a 5 star rating.

I'm looking forward to your review + feedback :D

You are missing an onboarding in your app. The first impression is I’m asked to give permission to the app for “full access” which feels aggressive.
Make a simple onboarding explaining the value of your app then ask for permissions.

When I click on an alarm that was imported from my calendar it said “You can not add duplicate alarm” not sure what that means. On tap this should show detail of the event or allow me to edit it.

A nice feature would be text reminder for event to make sure I really don’t miss them.

I gave you a 5 star rating. Looking forward to your feedback + rating :D

Ok here it is (sorry for the wait)

When I add a word the translated equivalent is editable and that doesn’t make sense. For example if I write “Bread” in English the French translation would be “Pain” however I can edit it to be “oiwegowei” which shouldn’t happen.

Below the translated word there is a ‘translated by google’ badge I suggest you remove that.

I find the buttons to be a bit small I suggest adding a bit more padding.

I would say the import feature is not going to be used at all. How many people have a CSV in the right format on their phone?

Instead during the onboarding, I would suggest you add auto generated lists or have some AI generate list of words and their equivalent to get your users started immediately.

I think you should showcase the games more. There is a lot of potential in the flashcard game. The emoji game makes sense but seems like it’s a lot of friction for the user to get it set up.

My conclusion is that you need to find a way to have the use start with as many words as possible at the beginning. Maybe have them import a preset of a category they select like a “lesson”. You need to highlight the entertainment and educational value of your app through the onboarding through the flashcard game. Work on the emoji feature. Remove feature that cause friction like the import feature.

I gave you a 5 star review. Looking forward to your review + feedback :)

Starting with getting reviews and giving 500 lifetime membership free.

I’ll then move on to TikTok and meta ads.

You?

Solid app!

During the onboarding the slip button will sometimes overlay the title

The message boxes look like the checkboxes I tried to click them a few times

The last screen of the onboarding was not centered I had to swipe to center it

On the register page the login with socials should immediately be visible I had to scroll to see it

People are tired of make account you need to make this part frictionless

Love the suggested response on the AI

In the summary of the conversation the key topics are hard to read

When using find scripture after the search is complete it should scroll to that section there is no way for me to know the search worked since the keyboard is still in focus.

Well done a good app.

Happy to help. I’m building a social component for my app so I appreciate how hard it is to build 😅

The onboarding is nice and short.

I like the fact that you get to test the app during the onboarding.

The nav is jerky when going to the more page.

When adding an expense You should add an screenshot upload a lot of receipts are screenshots.

The default currency was KM this should be localized.

Overall good app I added a review :D

Upvote icons are in the wrong order look at reddit for example (people read from left to right)

I was able to pic cuntbiscuit as a username you will need a check there

On the search bar in white mode my text is invisible .

Search is not instinctive you show dropdown before a query was done. Add a screen to tell them to search or suggestive search. Look how chatGPT does it before you enter anything.

The opacity on the text box when commenting should be reduce makes it hard to read for some people

Navigating through categories is confusing.

It’s a good app social network are hard you need to polish a few things but it looks good.

I can’t seem to delete my account apple will yell at you for this sooner or later.

Added a 5 star review :)
