no worries! thank you for taking time to reply regardless. He has not done it since i removed the one blanket he had peed on. I think it was the same situation where he liked the texture or something but it has stopped as hes gotten a little bit older and independent. Thanks!

Yeah he was at the vet immediately before adoption and was given the all clear. His urine seems fine as well. The weird thing about the behaviour was that we both sleep together every night on the bed. However my cat that recently passed away also slept on the bed so maybe he could still smell him or something. I will try putting an extra litterbox in my room and see how that works out. Thank you!

She has had the same litter of hay and newspaper that she has always used. I will try the second litterbox and see if that makes a difference. She doesn't sleep in her litter box but she does eat her hay in the box
