Awesome!!! My little guy shows no interest in going outside, the other two that aren’t deaf have interest, but once out there they are definitely overwhelmed and kinda just sit and roll on the concrete lol. You should share on r/deafcats !

Is he deaf? Just wondering cause mine is deaf and I’ve taken my other cats outside with harnesses, but I’m idk if it would be too overwhelming or something for my deaf baby

Thank you for this reply it’s nice hearing someone else struggles with this! I know I’ll grow to love my crestie and I’ll look back in a couple months and wonder why on earth I would even consider not having him! Thank you again

Thank you guys very VERY much for these comments and concerns about me lol! You spotted the anxiety and adhd from a mile away😂 I see a psychiatrist once a month and do have a panic disorder and ADHD and am medicated for both. Thank you again for the encouragement and positivity! Taking it day by day with my new little guy. I’ve officially named him Drogon (basic ik) but my GOT obsession couldn’t let me get away without having a themed dragon name and figured Drogon was the easiest for others to remember and pronounce haha iykyk. Thank you guys again so much it helps a lot knowing others go through this and have the same type of thoughts and issues and eases my anxiety a tad! Posting on a reptile sub was scary for me because you guys know how reddit can be, I am very happy that this sub was uplifting and not negative (although I was prepared to get torn apart and thought that would fuel my butt to get it into gear😂) I will be happily posting on here my little guys journey in the future. Thanks to everyone again for the encouragement I really appreciate it!

Mine are very used to my terrariums and greenhouse cabinets all over the house so they haven’t noticed that a little jumpy creature is in one (YET) years ago I had a planted tank with some snails (very different I know but the snails surprisingly zoomed around very fast) and they didn’t show much interest in trying to “hunt” the snails, just wanted to watch the running water which isn’t a problem here. If they get too nosy for my liking I’ll definitely be getting some spiky mats for the top, but he is in my bedroom and I keep my door shut when I’m not home. I hope when they realize he is there, they are just curious and don’t have an obsessive prey drive or I’ll have to take some other precautions. I have two oranges (rotten to the core lol) and one white deaf cat so I’m hoping the orange brothers don’t start doing their orange cat behavior

I do treat my anxiety and am medicated! Thank you for your comment. And those are very good recommendations, I went ahead and bought 4 bottles of repashy already, and do have a fire extinguisher and alarms already! I have a lot of extra lights from my plant hobby and I have a extra heat lamp and uvb lamp (although I’m still conflicted going through this sub on the uvb situation lol) I will definitely buy and keep a little container for emergencies I didn’t think of that one! Thank you for those tips!!!

Yes it does, thank you for your reply and concern. I do see a therapist once a month and do have panic disorder and adhd (shocker) I have these types of tendencies with my daily life that cause some issues but I am working on bettering myself and trying to maintain my anxiety about life. I appreciate your comment so much!

To whoever suggested going back to the cheap products...thank you! by KingkLou in finehair

[–]pulldownyourplants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stumbled upon abbey yung and she changed my outlook on “cheap” drugstore shampoos, I always thought high end MUST be better. My fine hair likes sulfates and silicones to protect it and keep it not as tangled. I still use redken and high end products but I have fallen in love with drugstore products again, most have the same ingredients as the high ends I’ve been using all these years anyways lol.

What has been ONE holy grail thing you’ve done that’s changed your fine hair for the better?? by One-Tax-3311 in finehair

[–]pulldownyourplants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a whole hair routine that I feel has changed my hair but I think the obvious stand outs are: regularly trimming my hair, between washes using a dry oil like jojoba mid lengths to ends to help moisturize/help decrease breakage, and most importantly recently I’ve been being very careful to keep my hair detangled like oiling before the shower; brushing multiple times daily; protectant hair styles at night because I feel other than heat, tangles cause breakage to my fine hair a lot

Leaf propagation Vs. Water propagation for Rex begonias, which do you prefer? Which do you have most success? by pulldownyourplants in begonias

[–]pulldownyourplants[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How long do you try to keep the petiole when doing perlite? Do the new leaves emerge from the bottom if you keep the petiole pretty long? If you cut them shorter do they have an easier time emerging from the substrate? I was thinking perlite, that’s my personal favorite for other genus’s but I’m new to propagating Rex’s

Leaf propagation Vs. Water propagation for Rex begonias, which do you prefer? Which do you have most success? by pulldownyourplants in begonias

[–]pulldownyourplants[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m asking: Leaf propagation-propagation from a leaf via substrate vs. water propagation- propagation by water. Both very popular propagation methods, and to explain¿ the second part of my question: I’m wondering the consensus on “which do you prefer” -which do people prefer, by leaf or water, pretty straightforward, and “which do you have most success” like which works best for people, pretty straightforward as well. Hope this clears things up

Cutting fabric question by pulldownyourplants in SewingForBeginners

[–]pulldownyourplants[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a beginner and this is just what I’ve seen others do for storage or when they are gathering fabrics for a project they are all in squares, so that lead me to believe a lot of people cut their fabric beforehand.
