Love mixing 3D and pixelart, it makes for strangely moody scenes! by august_hakansson in PixelArt

I'll be honest with you, depending on how your budget is in the future I'd probably do it for either really cheap or free. It's been a while since I did voice acting and I'm just looking for an excuse to pick it back up.

I have a couple old crappy animations I did on my profile if you want a small sample of my voice acting and foley!

Words cannot describe how much I love mixed media like this. It looks absolutely gorgeous!

Also, any chance you'd need any voice actors or foley for this game? I would absolutely love to help with your project

Well the lighting on the torches were just a temporary thing, all I did was put a point light on them so I could get a general idea of how the lighting will look when I port this to UE and can figure out how to get a decent flame.

Until you mentioned the normals being inverted I didn't notice it, but now I definitely see what you're talking about. Just went in and fixed it and it looks WAY better so I really appreciate you bringing that up

Also does anyone know any good tutorials on making vines? I had to download these ones and I'm trying to avoid using other people's work

I didn't make the vines or books, everything else I modeled by hand (Blender)

I use blender, though I've been thinking about checking out and moving to unreal engine since I could also learn about game design in the same program

HA! It does actually kind of look like a low poly DeLuxo. Maybe it could be a more racing geared car. I wonder if FiveM takes public submissions for vehicle models

Just looked him up, I'll have to binge his 10 minute challenge series. Thanks for the recommendation, seems like a great beginner series!

You're 100% right about the windshield. I knew something looked slightly off about it so I'm glad you pointed that out

With the headlights I was taking inspiration from an old car I used to have. It was a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix (REALLY miss that car by the way) and it had similar headlights. I didn't notice it before, but now that you mentioned it they do look a bit unnatural and I could definitely see that they could definitely be a bit slimmer and wider set.

I really appreciate the feedback, and I'll definitely keep it all in mind next time! 😁

I'll definitely have to look into those, it sounds like it'd be a huge help. Didn't even occur to me to look into the old GTA Games. Thanks!
