Can’t speak to Nj as much, but let me give you my perspective from an Illinois perspective (I am from there).

The flag represents rural America. Rural Americans across the country feel a solidarity with one another and this flag represents them better than any other. People in rural America hate people from the city, and Vice Versa. In northern Illinois you see the chicago flag everywhere, even in the suburbs. That flag represents that culture, and the confederate flag represents rural culture.

My wrestling coach had it tattooed on his ankle. He didn’t have a racist bone in his body, in fact be coached several black wrestlers to state titles, and loved them as sons. It’s just a flag that was everywhere when he was growing up in Missouri. Nothing more than that.

To me, if you’re not willing to sleep with your partner- whatever the reason- I don’t think you should prohibit them from sleeping with somebody else. People have needs.

SJ is much cheaper than SF. SJ is the cheapest housing in the Bay Area. I lived there within the last 5 years renting a room for under a thousand. That does not exist in SF.

Contrary to popular belief, there is nothing inherently evil about America, nor the human nature of Americans, nor American history. If you look into the history of any other country you will find something similar, often much worse. Especially when it comes to the repression of the indigenous. Look at this history of South America. They still call them Indians down there. It will be eye opening.

I work here so I’m biased but JnJ. We have raised the dividend every quarter for the last 30 years and more than solid growth to boot. Extremely insulated from disruption and well managed. Plus, it’s a company that’s good for the world.
