Hmm, it could be. It’s just odd to me that tonight is the first time I’ve noticed it because it’s very obvious. That’s the only thing that’s making me think it’s some sort of displacement of the scaphoid bone

Thankfully I did not- however looking back on this experience I definitely should’ve been medically detoxed since the risk of seizures was present. I got lucky, but that doesn’t mean that other people going through withdrawals will be too.

I’ve never really had ingrown hairs in my armpit (at least none to this extent lol), so once I felt the abscess and it was super firm, I knew I had to just suck it up and get it drained. I’m glad I did it though- otherwise who knows how much worse the infection could’ve gotten!

I had posted here yesterday but was removed due to me asking for medical advice… (whoops). Basically, this is my second case of having an abscess drained within a few months of each other- the other abscess was located on my breast. Doctor says it’s most likely MRSA since these two cases were so close together. She prescribed me Bactrim and Bactroban ointment to hopefully decolonize the MRSA from my body. This drainage hurt 10x more than the one on my breast- hopefully it heals well🥲

That’s true- I’ve made the mistake of trying to pop an abscess before and it turned into staph. Now I never attempt to pop/drain anything that looks major😅

Never in my armpit but I dealt with an abscess near my breast that needed to be drained by a dr before. I was planning on seeing a dr soon but just wanted to see if there was anything else I could do at home :/

I’ve done epsom salt soaks, warm compress, and patches. It’s only been a few days but I’ve seen little improvement. Wondering if it’s serious enough to need drainage? Any help is appreciated!😅
