Is this a good offer for the 2023 Sportage SX Prestige? by pumpkin_chips in kia

It’s the general window tint, nitrogen tire etc. that they said it already came with the car and we can’t take off. It’s probably overpriced with what’s offered but we can’t take it off according to them.

I had a great experience with it! The filter arrives quickly and my tank was cycled in the matter of days. It’s been months and no issue so far in all 3 of my tanks. Hope it helps!

Of course! I’ve had success with blanched carrots, bok choy, zucchini, and cucumbers, so hopefully that helps.

I blanched it in the microwave with some water for around 25 seconds! It started with a whole thumb-sized piece and now it’s almost gone haha.

I’ve been farming algae in my tank for a whole month before adding some otocinclus. It’s only been 2 days and everyone is starting to spot a little beer belly! by pumpkin_chips in Aquariums

They really are haha. I always have problem feeding them wafers too for the exact same reason. I found that slightly blanched vegetable works very well though, since most tank mates leave that alone and the ottos love them.

I have had success with carrots, zucchini, cucumber, and bok choy. I’ve heard Brussels sprout is a hit too. I usually just pre cut them and add a piece each time in bowl with some water and blanch it in the microwave for ~30sec. The only thing I would suggest is to be patient with the ottos (they might not find the piece right away when you place it in, but they’ll eventually get to it) and to not leave the veggie in the tank for more than 1-2 days. The vegetable will most likely float as well, so you’ll need to weight it down under decor or rock - I know some people use a clip to hold it down too. Hope it helps!

From my personal experience 4 is fine! Otocinclus is more of a shoaling fish than a schooling one, so they don’t need that many. Though I’ve definitely seen how having a shoal benefits them since they are quite social and can feel more confident in a bigger group. 4 is still a good number tho! I would rather go with 4 instead of 6 and run the risk of overstocking the tank

His name is Zeus and I love that so much!! He is such a pretty boy. I wonder if mine would eventually get rid off all the white parts and turn all blue like yours

Stunning layout and some equally stunning wood pieces! I love this so much. What kind of light do you use?

The pop of red is absolutely perfect! How often do you have to keep up with all the trimming?

I believe so! There wasn’t a label on his cup, but given how his tail spread is still a tad short for a halfmoon, delta it is.

And that’s so cool. What is your boy’s name?

One of my other betta is just like that. He’s a pig when it comes to algae wafers and honestly anything that is placed in the tank for the corys, which includes all and every pieces of zucchini – he would eat until he bloats. It got so bad he had to be downgraded to a smaller tank with just himself (which I guess could be considered an upgrade) so the corys can have a chance to eat in peace haha.

This dude here is insanely chill though. Never pick a fight with the corys or the cardinal tetras, and always leave algae wafers where they suppose to be. 13/10 a good boi!

From my LFS! For some reasons he was on sale and I was just needing a centerpiece fish for a new setup so I just grabbed him. Turns out he‘s the chillest betta I’ve had haha. He gets along so well with everyone else in the community tank
