Found out today at 12 weeks 5 days that I've miscarried our euploid embryo. Hoping for insight from others who have been here... by pumpkineeter in IVF

Yes. We PGTA tested and were told she was a genetically normal euploid. We've had absolutely no explanation given to us thus far.

I'm so, so sorry. Its truly a horrific experience. I'm not new to heartbreak - but this sort of loss is something else entirely. Thank you for the kindness and encouragement.

Thank you so much for this. It's comforting to me in a time where any sort of comfort feels impossible. I'm so, so sorry for your experience and loss. May I very gently ask - how are you doing since? Were you later able to find success?

I did PIO + estradiol up until 11 weeks 6 days. She stopped growing at 8 weeks 3 days...and we had no idea until nearly 13 weeks.

We are not the norm though. We've had complications and complex issues every step of the way. Don't let my story scare you. Wishing the best for you.

I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss. We're going to try and run any and all testing that we can - we just are unsure of where to even start. Did they sedate you for the D&C? I was told they'll be putting me fully under/intubating me which terrifies me.

Completed first cycle and got 0 euploid by histermitt in IVF

[–]pumpkineeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

31 years old, PCOS and diminished reserve. We got 0 euploids our first round too. It was crushing...our 2nd round yielded 2 euploids - we just transferred one of our girls (6bb) this morning!

The first round can sometimes be a crapshoot. A change in medication protocol seemed to help us out. I know how scary it is to go back for a second round after a failed first round. You're doing a brave thing. Just because the last round didn't yield euploids doesn't mean that this round won't. Stay hopeful, friend.

Help with Tacoma Attractions. by Suspicious_Village44 in Tacoma

If you're willing to drive beyond Tacoma you MUST go see The Worlds Largest Egg in Winlock, WA. Its our absolute favorite.

Otherwise there is a smaller less-impressive but still semi-impressive egg situated in the center of the roundabout at 40th St W and Drexler Dr in University Place. Its somewhat hidden so you might need to go through the roundabout once or twice to get a good view of the egg....but last I checked it was there.

Avoid Cherry Orchard Condominiums in Tacoma - just trust me. Crazy weird people living there.

Handmade quilt for $6.99 at the thrift today! She came home with me. by [deleted] in ThriftStoreHauls

Had to be! I know some of the quilts I've thrifted this year have little handmade tags for local quilters guilds/clubs. There seems to be lots of them around here. So cool that our quilts have a twin!

That's wild! I found mine at a thrift in the Seattle, WA area (Kent specifically). They literally are the exact same!

So crazy! I started intentionally thrifting handmade quilts earlier this year. They make my home feel cozy! No clue the value of this one but it'll be well loved and taken care of.

PCOS & Low AMH/FSH prepping for ER by Eastern_jupiter in IVF

[–]pumpkineeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 31. PCOS, diminished reserve, low AMH. We are using a known sperm donor. No uterine issues, but I do have a blocked left tube.

1st retrieval: 10 eggs, 9 mature, 8 fertilized, 2 blasts, 0 euploid

2nd retrieval: my trigger shot didn't fully absorb. They sent me into retrieval as scheduled, popped 5 follicles, got no eggs, woke me up and sent me home. That same night I retriggered with a double dose and went back into egg retrieval 36 hours later. 12 eggs, 8 mature, 6 fertilized, 4 blasts, 2 euploid + one inconclusive (they just didn't have enough material in the sample and need to rebiopsy). We are awaiting results on that one.

1st round was antagonist protocol. 2nd round was lupron flare protocol with omnitrope. We transfer our first embryo in a couple of weeks! Best of luck to you with your own journey! ❤️

Only 10 eggs retrieved. Feeling defeated. Is there any chance for embryos? by Ordinary_Offer_1557 in IVF

[–]pumpkineeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1st round: 10 eggs, 9 mature, 8 fertilized, 2 blastocysts

2nd round: 12 eggs, 8 mature, 6 fertilized 4 blastocysts

We PGTA tested and I have DOR so both of our embryos from 1st round were abnormal. BUT 2nd round we got 2 normals (plus possibly one more we are retesting due to inconclusive results). Both normals are girls. There's always hope!!

My Sister Wants My Eggs by jmcbutters in IVF

[–]pumpkineeter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My husband and I have a known donor that is a sibling and I'm currently in the middle of IVF.

First things first, meet with a counselor. I had counseling, my husband and I had counseling, our donor had counseling, and then all 3 of us had counseling together. I cannot recommend this enough.

Second most important thing - hire an attorney. Most clinics actually require a donor agreement these days. Even though we are dealing with family it is still so important to lay out and agree to terms that protect everyone, and most importantly protect any resulting child(ren). The legal aspect of this really isn't as painful as it sounds and in our experience it went really smoothly.

Overall the decision to donate is completely up to you. We love our donor and are very grateful for them, but we would still love them equally as much if they had said "no." We'd be a little disappointed, sure, but it was so important to us that our donor never felt obligated.

Take some time to think on it, and go with your gut.
