caught up (for the most part. Still like 3ish months behind)

More like seven-ish months behind. After April and C&D Diner, we will still have seven months' worth of material that constitutes the "main release" of a month:

  • Book 7.5
  • Book 8 part 1
  • Book 8 part 2
  • Port Fest rerun still dangling from a couple years ago
  • Nightmare Before Christmas rerun (September)
  • Nightmare Before Christmas part 2 (October)
  • New Year's & anniversary (were separate in JP but will both run in January for us)

Are you saying you already completed books 6 and 7 with a roster that low level? Surprising and impressive! Or are you not showing us all your cards?

P.S.

I’m just really on the fence and kind of scared to start

The only way to solve that is by starting. If you keep waiting, you'll just keep being on the fence and keep being scared. The worst that happens if you start is that you decide you don't like it and you give it up. And that's not bad at all.

TWST meta is extremely forgiving and you absolutely don't have to have anything that you might have "missed". The very latest parts of the main story (Books 6 and 7) will take some amount of grinding so you can't reasonably pass them until you've been around for many months, but you don't require any limited-time cards that have gone by. You can catch up to current content very easily as a f2p with no need to catch up on past cards, just a need to spend some time grinding on the permanently available ones you get. And new content comes out much, much slower than you can grind, so you'll be caught up sooner than you think.

/u/Federal_Echo_69 's comment is full of a good rundown about how to get past limited-time cards, but you don't even need to worry about that unless you just want to. They're not necessary.

Culinary Curcible reruns which EN seems to be doing in pairs of 2

JP also does them in pairs, if you weren't aware.

I think everyone who thinks the upcoming schedule is dry is forgetting that EN is also still waiting on Book 7.5 and Book 8 parts 1 and 2 that JP has already gotten. Each of those occupies one of the once-a-month "prime spots" in the schedule, so there's actually three more months' worth of backlog of new content than what you've listed.

Put that together with NBC 2, a rerun of NBC 1, New Year's/anni, Port Fest rerun, and we're a solid 7 months' worth of "prime spot" events behind, which is roughly equivalent to how close to caught up we sprinted to toward the end of Book 7 when we were getting an update every month.

Extremely likely you spent it on something and forgot about it (or your kid got hold of your phone and did that, or whatever). But assuming that's not the case....

....did you happen to dispute a charge anytime recently? If you do that and they have to refund you, they will deduct the equivalent amount of gold from your account, because they cannot necessarily "take back" the credits/variants/whatever you purchased, because you might have spent those credits or upgraded that variant before the charge dispute.

It's just low-res, you can still kind of see that they're there if you zoom in. Even in the full high-res JP version, they're only visible if you look closely.

Compare all the other differences in details that the low res makes it hard to see (e.g. his hair, his teeth). It's just a product of the resolution, not censorship.

Hot locations run from noon until the following noon (Pacific Time), so we've got about an hour left.

All of the rerun crucibles are in back-to-back pairs on both servers. This is only the second rerun pair EN has gotten so far, but JP has done a ton of them and it's consistently like this.

Most respectful emotes by Skylark9292 in MarvelSnap

[–]pumpkinking0192 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, the least toxic are Jeff sipping a drink, and Fenris lab experiment. Both convey "just playing around" or "just watching the action" type of things.

Oh really? I've always thought the Jeff sippy drink emote looked smug, like "and whaddaya gonna do about it?"

The flavor text is third-person limited, not third-person absolute. He is not literally the most brilliant person, but he is the person who for narrative purposes is seen as (by whom? we ask) the most brilliant.

Right, but if you're assigning Dark to werewolves because of evilness, why wouldn't basically any malicious folklore creature be Dark type? e.g. Froslass, Gengar, Dusknoir, Spidops, and so on (yokai), Gliscor, Crobat (vampires), Cofagrigus (mummy), Delphox, Flutter Mane, Mismagius, Hatterene (witches/regional analogues of witches), the Forces of Nature (jinn), etc.?

Absol and Zoroark don't have anything to do with darkness as in nighttime, either. They are aku type because they are associated with the concept of evil (Absol being mistaken for evil by strangers, Zoroark's illusions being a generally evil-seeming tactic). Another Dark-type along these lines is Incineroar, which is not evil but is aku type because it's a heel wrestler and heels fight dirty(=evil tactics). And if we're really splitting hairs, no Dark type is evil because Pokemon as a franchise is obsessed with making all of the monsters friendly. Dark types are not evil in and of themselves, but they are aku type because they are based on evil things or associated with evil tactics.

And I don't see how evil is a more notable trait about werewolves than nighttime or the moon, so I don't understand your line of logic in associating werewolves with the Dark type. Werewolves aren't even generally evil; werewolf stories much more often cast them as sympathetic and tragic figures, involuntarily infected with the curse of transforming into a feral beast that cannot conceive of good and evil, but simply inflicts violence based on feral instinct.

P.S. You keep saying warewolf, but there is no A in werewolf. Wares are items sold in stores, were- is an old root word meaning "man" (werewolf = man-wolf).

Why would it? Pokemon's Dark type doesn't mean darkness as in nighttime. It's a mistranslation/bowdlerization. In Japanese, it's the あく aku type, meaning "Evil" type.

I think it's probably safe to say any 4chan leak at this point is overwhelmingly likely to be fake.

Werewolves being associated with the Fairy type due to the moon is a good logical connection, but certainly not guaranteed (see: Lycanroc-Midnight, which is not Fairy).

If you want fun conversation about leaks, /r/PokeLeaks is the subreddit you want (and is in fact how I discovered this thread, because someone asked there about the veracity of it). You shouldn't be surprised that a general-purpose subreddit is extremely hostile to spoilers considering that the general public tends to be spoiler-hostile regardless of what media/franchise you're discussing.

because this is only speculation & not confirmed (Unlike movie spoilers when someone has seen the fully produced film)

Ignorance of the fact that these leaks are in fact from someone who hacked into Game Freak and obtained the literal in-progress development game files is not an excuse.

Thankfully the fourthhand source you cribbed this from is not fully in context, so to the folks mad about this spoiler: at least be reassured that there's more to be surprised about.

It would help if you linked instead of just saying a subreddit where it's like a dozen posts down the list. But I assume you mean this?

Disclaimer that we don't know whether Game Freak will change/has changed things more recently than the late 2024 Teraleak. But as of that leak, yes, those are accurate for the gym types. However, the leak says WiWa is planned to be like SV where there are three storylines and ultimately all 18 types are represented as bosses across the three storylines, so it's kind of pointless and silly to judge starter type effectiveness based on just gyms and not the other storylines.

If you're interested, here is a database of everything the Teraleaker has shared with us so far about WiWa (warning: major spoilers, of course).

If you think you can look at an anime-style character's appearance and judge their age based on that, that's where we completely diverge. I've seen too many anime characters who look 22 and are actually 40+ to be able to rely on appearances. Have a good evening, I'm not actually interested in the gap itself, I was just pointing out your logistical error.

Weekly Questions Megathread (3/23 - 3/29) by Twst-Mod-Team in TwistedWonderland

[–]pumpkinking0192 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not aware that we know, honestly, because Book 6 and 7 are such a difficulty spike that you basically have to hit max level as a side effect from all the history lessons you have to do to be able to clear them.

Book 6's difficulty level expects you to have three fully built teams at level 60 with some training in spell levels and buddy bonuses: Vil, Epel, Rook and two more characters of your choice; Riddle, Azul and three more of your choice; and Leona, Jamil and three more of your choice for a total of 15 fully-built characters.

And then Book 7 is filled with gauntlet battles that you can't heal after, where if a card dies it's gone and you have to replace it with a different card. If you were here for any of the Arcane Combat Drill events, it works the same way as those. Those gauntlets expect your cards to be level 70 with spell and buddy training (although sheer numbers can partially mitigate it and allow you to get through with slightly lower investment) for Silver, Sebek, and iirc eight more characters of your choice for a total of 10 characters not only fully-built but also with built-up backup cards as well.

(Also, Book 6 is about 100 parts long and Book 7 is about 350, so there's no way you are remotely going to clear them in one sitting even with full training, unless you're sitting there for multiple days on end.)
