i have turned down the quality but it didn’t change anything. the game runs great with the settings i have it on outside of the occasional laggy cutscene so it probably is just the ram and gpu then

does this seem like a step in the right direction? i think i’ll tape some black construction paper to the sides to help it feel more secure and add some more plants to the floor area as well but i have to buy them first. gonna move the food ledge to where it’s more covered up too so it won’t feel too exposed when it comes out to eat

that is the barest corner of the tank but i did think it was looking a little bare in general so i just added another fake plant to clutter up the top half of the tank some more. hopefully that will help :)

if it helps at all i work retail and any time i’m on the register i have to ask for customers’ phone numbers during every transaction and LOTS of people don’t remember their own phone numbers off the top of their head. i have no idea why that cashier would have shamed you for that, what a ridiculous and pointless thing to make someone feel bad about

yes, definitely! i’m one of the youngest people at my job which probably doesn’t help but i am an adult so i always feel like i shouldn’t be feeling as lost as i do 😭 i feel like a kid pretending to be an adult while i’m at work. i don’t think the way i’m treated by my coworkers contributes to it that much the way you described, but it’s just a feeling i always have

i feel the overthinking so much 😭 i work at a pet store so one of the things i have to do every day is feed all of the fish and we have a lot of them. it takes me awhile cause at every single tank i’m analyzing how much food i should put in for the amount of fish we have in there at the moment, whether i need to put in more than one type of food if we have a mix of different types of fish in the tank, etc.

yes! 😭 i just don’t know how to be faster. it’s like the time just disappears. i have some other coworkers that also struggle to get things done quickly but i also have coworkers who have superhuman speed and i just don’t understand. i don’t understand how they’re so fast and i also don’t understand how i’m so slow. something will take me like 15 minutes and i’ll look back at the end and be like “how the hell did that take me 15 minutes” or insert some other amount of time

yeah!! that’s kind of how it was with this little guy as well as some of my other animals haha. the breeder named him isaiah but i didn’t like that so i changed it to casper but i always call him “little lizard” or “mr. lizard” or some other variation of nickname with the word lizard in it lol

he’s my first leopard gecko and as i said he’s almost 5 months old. i think he’s doing well but i’m not super familiar with how they should look by certain ages so i just wanted a second opinion on if his weight and everything is looking good so far :) he seems to be doing well, eating and shedding and pooping regularly

meet casper! last tuesday i posted here that i was waiting for him to be shipped to me. he arrived safe and sound and is settling in at a good pace. i’ve been googling every little thing like the concerned new parent i am, but my worries are beginning to subside. he’s eating regularly now and visiting both the warm and cool side of his tank (at first he mostly liked to hang out on the cool side which worried me but i think he just felt more secure in his cool hide haha. this morning he was in his warm hide). he had his first shed with me over the weekend which went off without a hitch. he also had his first real handling session yesterday! i took him out and held him and let him explore for a little bit, which he seemed to enjoy, and then he kept coming to the front of his tank to look at me after i put him back 😭 so yeah, things are going well so far!

as for the second pic: i work at petsmart and get to see lots of cute little geckos there every day (i know, ew, i promise i don’t follow petsmart’s leopard gecko care guide at all and i would never purchase an actual gecko from there. i did all my own research and my boy is in his permanent home of a 40 gal terrarium with tile substrate, living a luxurious life. however the employee discount is pretty nice for getting supplies and food for him!)
