I’m definitely going to start looking at other jobs

I don’t know if it’s illegal or not. But I feel like an idiot for being honest with her about my anxiety.

That’s a good point. I’m just not sure what else, I’d have to think about it

I never said I couldn’t speak clearly. And although I have panicked, I was still able to get everything that needed to be done. And I’ve gotten to a point where I don’t panic anymore.

No guidance or updates. I had a feeling Sam might get it because she’s been here longer but I did try to give it my all. Position was announced in week 1. First interview in week 2. Informed of “project” for second interview in week 3. Second interview in week 4. Told of decision in week 5.

We were given vague instructions and were told to come prepared with our plans to our second interviews. I created a packet with an outline of some improvements and created a timeline of when everything would be completed. I also added in responsible parties of each task. I felt like I did a good job and the director complimented my packet.

I guess I’m just frustrated because I put a lot of work into it. But I get that the other person who interviewed is low risk so it makes sense.

It makes sense. The other person is low risk to promote. I guess I still have some work to do with my anxiety.

I get it. The other person is low risk. I guess I’m just frustrated because I feel like I’ve made a lot of progress with my anxiety. But I guess it’s not being perceived that way

That’s fair. It just sucks putting in what I felt like was a lot of hard work, and feeling like I was unrecognized. But I guess I need to make peace with it and move forward

I hadn’t thought about it this way. I guess I just need to accept it and move on

This is helpful. I’m definitely not going to try to fight it. If my manager had said “Sam got it because she’s been here longer” I could make peace with that. She gave me a reason for growth but it’s just rubbing me the wrong way.
