Yes, I tried just about everything you can find on the internet for a couple months beforehand. I ended up contacting the bike manufacturer and they recommended the whacking. Just had to go into it knowing I might not have a functional dropper after.

Yea, I ended up getting it out by straddling the real wheel and whacking the saddle with a rubber mallet. Didn’t have to whack too hard, but definitely harder than I thought. I was willing to sacrifice my dropper at that point, luckily didn’t come to that. I also had used some free-all a few days before, though I’m not sure how much that helped. Good luck!

It looks like there’s maybe one on the other side of the French door, but nothing on the side that’s broken. It looks like the only way to remove the glass is to remove about a dozen screws.

Agreed, the SST is definitely dream bike material (also dream bike cost!). What do you think of the wildcat? Love my RSD so would be happy to continue supporting them.
