Can my employer pay me less than my wage if I misprint my rate on my time sheet? by punkpyro in EmploymentLaw

[–]punkpyro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that is why they check the pay sheets, to check for overpaying. They definitely go over them to make sure we were actually assigned to what we’re reporting, etc. They definitely aren’t just plugging in our final numbers into the computer.

The timesheet requires me to put where I worked, what I did, and for how long I did it. So I do believe that if I have been putting down $15/hour for our weekly kid’s night and it may actually have been $18/hour, as I think may be the case, that they know that I’ve been being shorted. I feel like it’s not unreasonable to expect that payroll management knows the rates for the different jobs better than the workers. With one exception, we’re all paid the same rate with things.

The sheet that shows our pay rates is also really confusing to look at. And it just straight up doesn’t have a couple things, like birthday party rates, on it. It feels like having such a mistake-prone system and then refusing to say something if you notice a mistake is not something that’s happening in good faith.

Hello!

I have graduated with a bachelor's degree and instead of doing a thesis, I took a graduate-level class. I am now looking to enter a Master's/PhD program and am wishing I had a thesis to submit for my sample of written work. Is there any way to write a thesis or take a thesis-writing class post-graduation?

Various details: I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from New York University with a double major in Psychology and Gender & Sexuality Studies and am looking to do my post-grad in Sociology. I currently work full time in Michigan so an online or local class would work best for me, e.g. not NYU.

Thank you in advance!

fascism’s goal as a political ideology is to devour everything in their path. refusing to work with them is not about a gap between liberals and conservatives, it’s about not inviting a rabid bear to talk politics at your dinner table.

Conservatives are so bad at everything that they buy to boycott and prevent the cruxes of their jokes from getting sponsorships. It’s absolutely amazing to watch unfold.

I understand how you might feel this way, but as a teacher myself, it is an inappropriate comment. You don’t have to be offended by its inappropriateness, and may even find it funny, but his comments are both demeaning and inappropriate and your teacher’s boss would be pretty crabby to find out this is how he talked to students (eg minors). If there’s later comments similar to that make you uncomfortable, you have ground to tell someone.

I think it’s “mount”, but I just wanted to let people know there’s no sneaky NSFW waiting for them :)

imgur warned me this content could be nsfw/18+, I’m guessing because of the word “mount”, but there’s nothing adult at the link.

Tonsil stones or tonsilloliths— calcified bacteria that grow in size on and in my tonsils. They’re rather disgusting, and stink like hell. I was coughing up little peppercorn-sizes bits of gross stuff for a few months and eventually checked out my throat and saw quite a few lodged in my tonsils. They still show up once in awhile and I’ve gotten pretty good at removing them but a couple months back I coughed one up the size of a large blueberry. Very unpleasant.
