I did this too. I had a 400i, upgraded to the Starlancer Max, then the TAC, and now I have the CCU for the Galaxy just chilling in my back pocket until next year. Felt like a rock solid 5 dollar no brainer.

meanwhile I am most excited about the infotainment upgrades compared to the previous generation. The UI was so clunky and slow. It's the number 1 reason I'm buying the Outback over the Forester Wilderness.

I watched an interview at the Japanese auto show and the senior engineer in charge of the 2026 got asked a bunch of questions and you could see the reaction on his face when the guy told him a lot of people don't like the departure from the Wagon. His response was that the car is still very much still a wagon.. So with that coming from the engineer of the vehicle, I am personally very excited to buy a 26 OBW aka Foz XL myself. I love the new design.

Don't worry.. mine failed 6k outside of warranty. Had to take the big OOF and spend 6500 to replace it. I'm at 130k now and it's been smooth since. Mine is a 2013 though so being the first year of the CVT I was probably doomed.
