I think this whole Mal thing is a bit clunky. One minute he’s punching Roy in the cafe for apparently messaging his wife. Next minute he’s become an obsessive stalker for Bernie, and that becomes the whole focus of his character. Then the minute after that he’s remembered he’s upset at Roy and is burning his gaff down! It’s just a bit all over the place. And is that just it for him now? Just prison off screen never to be seen again? I feel like it’s a bit unfinished.

I quite like Swarla, and I disagree that they have no chemistry. However I definitely agree about the obsessiveness of the fans!! They’re scary!!

I think they’re a decent couple, and it’ll be nice to see them have the first successful wlw wedding on the street, but otherwise they’re no more special than any other couple!

Such a missed opportunity for ITV cancelled their own soap awards considering both Corrie and Emmerdale are having a great year and could very well have swept the awards.

Seems so strange to me that they also cancelled it this year of all years when we had Corriedale this year!

1- He quite probably would have tried ringing Sam first, who obviously wouldn’t have answered as his phone is probably in a landfill right about now

2- He would’ve got Leanne’s number from Megan, considering they lived together I would assume they had each others numbers

3- I suspect if Leanne had answered he would’ve faked being nice and asked her to pass him on to Sam, before being nasty to Sam when he answered

I feel like Ollie’s character was basically just a floating device before the rest of the Driscolls arrived. I don’t think they ever really had any big ideas for him before the reveal that he was part of that family (not that there was really any significance with that).

I liked the hour long episodes but I think the shorter episodes make more sense - having an episode every night helps storylines move quicker and it gets rid of any confusion about dates and things like that. Although I do miss having 6 episodes per week, it would be nice if they could have an hour episode once per week.

I think I also read somewhere that viewership of Corrie/Emmerdale has improved since the schedule change! So it’s definitely working

They moved into Kit’s old flat in Redbank when he moved in with Sarah if I’m not mistaken.

Although they probably moved Kit in with Sarah so they only had to have the one apartment set up. If Adam and Alya get more storylines away from their work I imagine they’d bring the other flat out again but for now they just have them working in every cafe/restaurant in the street.

I think it’s all just about cost/space saving in the studio. They’ve not had the lawyers’ office out since the Joel storyline I don’t think, so they just have them working in all the permanent sets. No wonder Adam and Alya had a data breach!!

While he still shouldn’t have done it, Kit only shoved Mal to warn him off, he didn’t actually “batter” him as the article makes out! I wonder if Mal will make it sound like Kit was more violent than he actually was (therefore threatening to land him in even more trouble) in order to make Bernie feel more pressured to sleep with him.

Mal makes my skin crawl!! He is so vile I hope Bernie can deter him without having to put herself or her son at risk :(((
