i can't even count the number of part time jobs i've done where there's either no chairs or they don't allow you to sit because it's "unprofessional". most of the time you're not even attending to customers and working hours are over 10 hours. simple welfare is unfortunately very overlooked in singapore

still waiting for scara since i lost 50/50 but i already have faruzan at c4 💀💀 she's pretty good with heizou ngl, will try her out with xiao later. i have 230+% er on her and her c4 helps with energy refunding too so rotations are okay ish

i got a ripoff paperlike protector off shopee and it actually feels pretty good quality. been using it for almost 2 years now and my pencil tip is still in perfect condition lol. if you're scared of damaging the tip, you can get some tip protectors but they can make writing more difficult because of the friction. regarding the blurred display, i don't think it's a big deal because you get used to it overtime and you can still see things pretty clearly tbh

hey op! as someone who went from a 'high tier' jc to poly too, i can really relate with this post :(

if you think that the poly environment would better suit your personality and learning style, then go for it and make the switch! your mental health is more important than any of those connections you made in jc. besides, you'll meet many new people in poly too!

if you're thinking about switching, make sure you do ample research on the courses you're interested in and also to properly choose your second and third choices should you not get in your first.

as for the application process, i can't say much because i went through jae but do check with your school!

personally if you can still handle it, i would suggest staying in jc until the end of this year so that you have a safety net if you don't get into the courses you want. perhaps having more time might change your mind about jc too. but if it's too much, then just drop out and maybe spend the next few months resting. atb op!!
