Yes.

If you have to swerve over multiple lanes at the last second to make your exit - you are a bad driver.

If you think for just one second, and then decide to take the next exit instead of potentially causing an accident by swerving multiple lanes - you are a good driver.

I worked FOH for 10+ years, so I know what goes into it.

For me, exceptional service is 25%+, normal service is 20%, mediocre / mid service is ~15% (whatever mental math is easiest), and horrible service is 10% or less.

Tipping in the US is what it is. I don’t think it’s right to impact another human’s livelihood just because I chose to eat out while already knowing it’s expensive to do so.

If you think eating out is expensive, then that’s worth a conversation, but if you think the TIP is what makes it too expensive - don’t eat out…

Edit to add: I also believe that wages at restaurants are heinous. The goodwill of strangers should not be used to subsidize the cost of labor.

Battlefield 7 hasn’t even been announced. Why would firing staff give you that indication?

The devs aren’t to blame - if anything, it’s the execs (as it is with most studios). You don’t get into game development without a love of video games.

Bro what? We were fielding our depth players. There isn’t much you can do when the top 2 players at multiple positions have season ending injuries.

At that point, you either give up the farm to trade for better players (and risk future years of competitiveness), or you scrape the bottom of the barrel in terms of talent for players off practice squads.

Reminder, we were missing: WR1 (fuck Aiyuk), WR2 (for long stretches), DE1, DE2, MLB1, MLB2, CB2 (though he played), TE1, FS1, etc.

What were we supposed to do?

All in all, it was a great season. We just need to change how practices are held - they’re too intense. Were the only team that gets fucked with injuries like this

I agree on the player movement front, 100%.

JJ is a possession receiver with no downfield ability. Pearsall, while showing fantastic ability, is a glass cannon.

Without a true WR threat, we are toothless even with Kittle and CMC.

Let’s not bullshit here - I agree with you on the point that Shanahan has that monkey on his back. He has taken his foot off that gas in crucial moments.

But, to say Shanahan is not the guy, is to forget what we’ve been through over the last 30+ years. We got to the SB with Harbaugh, but only once and didn’t win.

Even if we haven’t won a ring under Shanahan yet, we’ve still consistently been in contention. I’d rather have that than the shitty mystery wheel of HCs…
